So you don't follow the interpretation of Jesus but you reject his interpretation of the proverbs he used, therefore you reject him.
You are not Jesus.
So you don't follow the interpretation of Jesus but you reject his interpretation of the proverbs he used, therefore you reject him.
You are not Jesus.
No I am not Jesus, you actually spoke correctly in saying I am not, there may be hope for you after all.
What kind of hope? Hope of what?
So you don't follow the interpretation of Jesus but you reject his interpretation of the proverbs he used, therefore you reject him.
We were made blind in understanding, that he might heal our blindness in understanding, that we might see the truth in understanding, by his interpretation of who is who. Therefore there is still hope for you, that he might heal your blindness in understanding.
You just said this dagallen, "I am not avoiding the scriptures in any way, I just don't accept your interpretation but I accept the interpretation Jesus gave on who is the only true God but you reject his interpretation just as many has done throughout the years," The truth is you do avoid the scriptures big time.
You have "tunnel" vision when you quote Johgn 17:3 but yet you avoid the scriptures that clearly show Jesus Christ to be God. Many of us have give you the scriptures but you just turn a blind eye and I know why? It's because you have no idea how "RECONCILE" verses that "APPPEAR" to contradict each other.
You think that Jesus Christ calling the Father, the only true God," somehow contradicts numerous other passages within John's gospel, what the Apostle Paul said at Titus 2:13 or what the Apostle Peter clearly stated at 2 Peter 1:1. If your going to exclude Jesus Christ from being deity, then in order for you to be consistent Jesus Christ must also be disqualified from being the savior of all of mankind.
I have give you verses from the OT saying God alone is the Savior and then have given you verses that say explicitly Jesus Christ is the Savior. In the OT, God alone is the first and the last and in the NT at Revelation 1:1-19 Jesus Christ is the first and last and at vs8 He says He is God Almighty.
So, when the Bible clearly reveals that there is only one God, one Lord, one Savior, one creator how do you reconcile this with John 17:3? Furthermore, you don't even consider the context of John 17:3 where Jesus is praying. You also don't consider the context of Philippians 2:5-9 which explains why Jesus Christ submits to the Father's will which is because God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ so naturally He is functioning as a complete and total 100% contingent or depended on His Father just like we are suppose to do meaning that Jesus Christ is our example. So dagallen, how do you reconcile what you say about John 17:3 to what the Apostles said about Jesus Christ being God, and that's with a big "G."
IN GOD THE SON,

John 17 Jesus is talking about his Father who is the only true God, he is not talking about himself and he spoke what his Father gave him a commandment to speak. You see the proverbs the same way as some of the Jews saw them who sought to stone him, who were blind in understanding.
In other words your "STILL" hanging your hopes on the same old tired answser. You unable to reconcile verses that clearly "SEEM" to be contradictory to John 17:3. I say seem to be even though they are not contradictory except in your "delusional" thinking.
And no, the Jews were not "blind" in their understanding because they based their understanding on what Jesus had said to cause them to want to kill Jesus for blasphemy. Jesus did not blaspheme because He was who He said He was and this is also backed up by the Apostles I mentioned that declared Jesus Christ to be God. The problem with them is the same with you, they did not believe Him when He said the following at John 8:24, "I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am, you shall die in your sins."

When the Jews sought to stone him, what response did Jesus gives to the Jews ? You are blasphemy because I said, I am the Son of God ? You will die in your sins if you do not believe I am ( the Son of God )
Nope,He asked why they sought to stone Him for His good works and they said it was not for that reason but that He claimed to be God,not Gods Son.
You need to read a few passes after what you posted, he said to the Jews, you are blasphemy because I said I am the Son of God ? Read it again.

Dagallen has probably his own translation.

Lets see why Jews wanted to kill him:
Jesus said:
"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand." (v 28) - Clearly not a human or angelic power
"I and the Father are one." (v 29) - Diunity
"Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him." (v 30)
...
Jews said:
""We are not stoning you for any good work," they replied, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." (v 33)
Jesus said:
"Do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You blaspheme,' because I said, 'I am Son of God'?" (v36)
----
And now, question for you... when Jesus in the preceeding sentences said "I am Son of God"? Question for 10 points.
Nope,He asked why they sought to stone Him for His good works and they said it was not for that reason but that He claimed to be God,not Gods Son.
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. John 5:18
