the 'deep' refers to the water I think? yet the Spirit of God was hovering over it (the waters)

I think people need to be careful about supposing what God and cannot do or whether or not the Holy Spirit can be in darkness

did not God create both? if you refer to 'darkness' only as a 'spiritual' darkness, then how do we explain v.2 ?

can you supply scripture that attests to what you say regarding that where the Spirit of God is there is ONLY light?

please try to think about this. arguing is the last thing on my mind.

ps...we do know that there is no 'darkness' in God at all, but I think that means spiritual darkness?

We know that God's commandments are perfect and teach us about Him. Grace is from love.

The law was a pretty big thing to deal with and God used it to teach people. We all know He is longsuffering and patient towards us, and we can see that man has been given abundant grace since the beginning.

Even now, if we can't keep the law of Christ, we still have God's grace, through faith to come to Him for forgiveness and correction.

I think the misunderstanding might be about "the law".

Lord Jesus told us the simplified will of God through the commandments, namely to love God and love each other. That's the law. What they had in the O.T. was a framework to do these commandments but not really the understanding of grace and love that came through Christ. So when they said the law was against us, it was a giant stumbling block that they couldn't live with because it was like always being condemned and they had a priesthood of men.

Lord Jesus did God's will. He followed the commandments, even on the sabbath. He treated people with kindness, patience and did not judge them. He corrected their errors, taught them parables, even explained hidden meanings. He kept His promises and befriended them. He pleased Father God.

When He said He came to fulfill the law, He did not mean do away with it. He came and did it, by loving us and dying for us. Love is the law.

The freedom we have is from the Levitical priesthood and the curse of death, we have our High Priest and King in heaven, and faith which is pleasing to God. Lord Jesus' righteous blood has done away with our sins.

As Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus had the right, power, and authority to dispense it in any way He pleased, even to the abolishing of it and reinstituting it as the Lord’s Day, a day of worship. Since the Lord of the Sabbath had come, He who is the only true “Sabbath rest” made the old law of the Sabbath no longer needed or binding. When He said, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” Mark 2:27, Jesus was attesting to the fact that, just as the Sabbath day was originally instituted to give man rest from his labors, so did He come to provide us rest from laboring. Because of His sacrifice on the cross, we can now forever cease laboring to attain God’s favor and rest in His mercy and grace. If Wednesday is your only day off or if it's not, do take a day and honor Him,,, that doesn't have to be Saturday or Sunday or it can,,, the point is the Saturday or Sunday, a day of worship, the Lord's day can be any day, just spend some time and honor what was accomplished at the cross.

You want respect, I think you show try as hard as others I have seen on to give it. You will get no apology from me on that, as it seems that most people on here don't even bother to read a post, they are just looking to push their ideas off anyone that doesn't see things their way. no attempt to even find out anything about the other person, just hay they said Law lets get them.
As for taking some time to get back to you, a person can't be on here 24/7 just to make others happy, so please do not make it sound as though you are being shuned. When it comes to you, I will not try to use hummer, as seems that is over your head.
One last thing, if you see my action before now as so wrong, please report me. I am begging you to.

I don't see how I ever promoted self. I did defend myself when needed, and yes that may be seen by some as promotion. Yet I don't se you saying a word about the way others acted. Why is that?

And for any that may be left thinking, what the heck? I went right on and reported my self. So if I am asked to leave this sight, trust me, their will be no hard feelings, I think I learned I will ever get from here anyway. Thanks for all your unwillingness to even try to understand.
