Of course you don't. I knew you didn't. The rapture prediction becomes the Pope's death.
Jesus is teaching you eschatological forecasts by trial and error while you reject the day and hour statement.
You don't think God will rapture us next week without telling you first? How do we trust you when you err and casually alter your interpretation or opinion or whatever it is you're posting and not admitting was an error and explaining how you erred?
This is what amazes me. There are many, many people who teach on eschatology who I disagree with. They all have a variety of interpretations, I'll listen to a point. I don't care if they are contrary to me, I am simply looking to see if they shed light on the word of God. But I don't feel any need to constantly try and get them to stop teaching. After all, I realize that no one has solved this riddle, so it would be arrogant of me to think I have. And yet, for some reason, people like yourself think you have some kind of mission to tell others like myself to stop. I am not aware of any such mission in the New Testament and on the contrary I see many warnings against such an attitude.
Also, I do not reject any verse of the Bible including the verse on not knowing the day and hour. What I reject is any interpretation of that verse that contradicts other verses. I hold every verse in the Bible up equally. So if one verse tells Sardis that they need to repent or else they will not know at what hour the Lord will come, that is every bit incontrovertible as "no one knows the day and hour". Both have to be true and both can be. Every single time that Jesus said "no one knows the day and hour" referring to the rapture He concluded that we must therefore watch. We are given three analogies to help us understand. You do not know the day and hour a thief will strike, that is why we hire watchmen whose job it is to watch. You do not know the day and hour that you should harvest your crops, that is why the farmer must watch daily. And you do not know the day and hour your wife will give birth to the baby, again, that is why we must watch.
However, even though we don't know the day and hour there are signs we will see. For example, a thief may put some duct tape on a door so they can open it. If you saw that while doing your rounds you would know the thief was coming that night. A farmer can see that the crop is ripe and so know when it is time to reap. When your wife's water breaks you know it is time for the baby to be born.
We have been given signs to look for and anyone who is very serious about their job as a watchman would know what all those signs are. But because of teaching to not talk about this most Christians have no idea what the signs are. This doctrine is harmful, it is irresponsible, and it contradicts the Lord's charge to us to watch.
For example, I was a HS teacher and every year there was a state wide exam my kids had to take. I needed to predict where they were going to have trouble and what I needed to spend more time on to help them the most. I created an algorithm based on their test scores during the year that was highly correlated to how they would do on the exam. As a result I was able to accurately predict each kids score on the exam before hand. This was very helpful to the kids, but it was also helpful to my teaching because during the summer I was able to see how to tweek my teaching to the whole class to improve our performance.
