I am quite new here and the topic of using AI has come up and I would like to discuss it.
My take is AI can be a good tool for studying Scripture when used with discernment, because it functions like any other research aid: it can quickly surface cross‑references, historical background, lexical data, and manuscript information that help believers understand the text more accurately. But it becomes harmful when people treat AI as an authority rather than a servant, forgetting that only Scripture is God‑breathed (2 Tim. 3:16) and that spiritual understanding ultimately requires the Holy Spirit, not algorithms (1 Cor. 2:14). AI can summarize, compare, and analyze, yet it cannot replace prayer, meditation, or obedience. Used rightly, it is similar to a concordance or lexicon—helpful, efficient, and clarifying. Used wrongly, it can become a shortcut that encourages shallow reading or dependence on a machine’s interpretation instead of the believer’s own Spirit‑guided study. The wise approach is to let AI assist your study, never direct it, always testing its output against the written Word and the Spirit’s witness. Of course I'm sure the disagreements are incoming but that's why we are here.
