exactly . on a personal matter, their is a distant relative of mine who has had some recent health problems, this person is a strict legalist, but is now very confused as to why God let him have the issues, when he has " been such a good person, did right, did not take part in the wicked sinful world that is going to burn" this is where leagalism, " I deserve good things because I am a good person" thinking leads you. into a bad place.

IMO, the reason we cannot find unity with each other is not because either of us are without grace, that is believers in Jesus Christ, are without the Holy Spirit indwelling, but I see the new covenant for God's people, Israel only and that the new covenant is the renewed covenant, and you see Christ as a new religion separate from ancient Israel and now are "the church".

Its not entitlement but mercy through grace according to His work of faith alone.What we are entitled is to pay the eternal wage, never to rise to new spirit life forever more. By it we enter his rest as the lamb of God slain from the vantage point of the foundation of the world .The six days he did work we enter the seventh, by faith. That free gift that cost him a work of His spirit in jeopardy of his own spirit should humble our souls.

The woman in Lk 13: 11---16 was entitled to be healed, because she was a daughter of Abraham, and because we are children of Abraham by being a Christian, Gal 3: 7, we qualify for healing and the blessings of Abraham, Gal 3: 9, & v13--14.
Every Christian is entitled to receive the blessings that Jesus has provided for us.
But they are received by faith and obedience.
Just because you don't accept obedience, it doesn't mean us TRUE grace Teachers are being legalistic.
It's about time you left the false grace teachings are started to believe the Biblical grace.

Those are huge misunderstandings on your part. The "new covenant" is not the "old covenant" renewed, reconstituted, refurbished, or reformed. The New Covenant is just that, new, entirely new; it is the new and Living way of the new covenant in the newness of life with Jesus Christ. That's what Hebrews 8 is all about. How the new is better in every way than the old.
"But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises. For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.” Heb. 8:6-7
And it is for ALL of Gods people. And Gods people are in no way limited along racial lines, or gender, or nationality, or ethnic background.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9
Thats ALL of us believers.

You have been so blinded by the false grace teachings, that you don't know the Bible.
You don't know what Jesus has provided for us. You can receive hell if you want to, but I will receive ALL God's blessings, all the blessings that Jesus has provided for us.
Because we are Christians, we are blessed with faithful Abraham, and God blessed Abraham with ALL THING, he was very rich.
But notice, Abraham was faithful, and if we are faithful, we can receive everything that Jesus has provided for us.
All the promises of God, are Yes and Amen, so as Christians, we are entitled to receive all the promises of God.
Rom 8: 4 says we have legal rights, and they should be fulfilled in us. Who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

you know, often in my life, 'before 'real' conversion and then for a goodly time before, satan has convinced me
that I really was the most unworthy thing that had ever been created and allowed to take a breath of air...
if this were so, who in their right mind would ever want to have a thing to do with me???
after my conversion, Jesus began to tell me how much that I meant to Him and when I realized just exactly
what He did for me out of His pure Love, that's when I began to realize that the whole kit and kaboddle was
because of how much he loved us and desired for us to be especially chosen, His choice, to become a member of
His Holy Family...(He has never once mentioned or brought up how unworthy I was, I had that knowledge myself...
how could I ever in my heart believe that I wasn't always someone whom He loved for some special reason?
I can only believe that He has always loved for me, and that through this precious love, no matter what I
did in my 'old-life', He loved and respected me enough to die for me, simple because He has always love me,
no matter what sinful man has said...

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, AND to love one another AS HE COMMANDED ( taught) us. The ONE WHO KEEPS God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us."
if you are raising children, do you set rules and limits to keep them on the good path of life? and shouldn't your children not be "afraid of you"...but shouldn't they have a reverent fear of dad? knowing he will keep his word about punishment? God is and must be reverenced, there is a level of fear in reverence. God means what He says, His love was clearly expressed on the cross , and in our daily lives if we look for it within and around us. Bit this being said, humans don't always want to be selfless and love others, so Gods word is designed with warnings, limits, rules to keep us from harm, to teach us to be godly people in a sinful world. Just like we teach our children through discipline to be good people at times, and were the rebellious kid too, Grace grace and all, but its not reverant to omit the warnings and commands of the God we Love who has always equated Love and obedience. Gods word is designed perfectly, it needs no ommitals to make it seem more graceful than it already is. Gods wrath is also coming for those who take His grace in vain. reverance for an all powerful God who destroys citys for disobedience and sends swarms of deadly vipers on His people because they will not do as commanded though He delivered them through grace from slavery in Egypt.....Gods grace is to be reverenced, and His power is to be feared, revelation promises the coming wrath on those who refuse to repent of their wickedness, the lukewarm are warned that they will be spit out if they do not Get right. there is purpose in Gods design. and fear is a part of that design until obedience has done its work.
what is the messiah like mike? what does He tell us to do? you have to see the grace that is in His teachings to understand the difference between law, and Grace. which is the difference between self righteousness and Christs through Faith. you are right in saying we need to work HARD with all we have inside to be like Jesus. but remember what hes teaching us. forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give and it will be given to you. care for the needy among you. seek first his kingdom and righteousness. Jesus taught a whole new thing, with the foundation of the Law of moses. Judaism ended with the coming of Jesus and the Kingdom of God began. Christianity.
to be like jesus, we turn the other cheek, we lend to those who ask to borrow, we are the good Samaritan going above and beyond oif another is in need, we comfort, but there is Grace in this obedience, in obeying what Jesus teaches, we have forgiveness when we fall, and we will, and do stumble, so we obey His command forgive and you will be forgiven, show mercy to others who treat you wrong, bless the ones who curse you and say evil things against you...ect. none of these things are found in the mosaic law. yet, "Love your neighbor as yourself" is, in the mosaic Law.
Jesus is teaching humans how to Love one another His way, in holiness we aren't trying like you say to earn salvation, we are learning to be like Jesus which is where the title "children of God" comes from. we aren't perfect but we make all our effort, all our hop[e and faith on and in and through Jesus, to know Him more and more. if anyone is doing that at any stage, their salvation is not in question, it is the confession "Lord" that needs sincerity, and then the work begins of conformity that sinners pray though is important place to begin...until we confess that we are sinners and confess Jesus is our Lord, we can never accept obedience to Him. a process for certain, I think I understand and agree, I were saved in order to obey, not because of, but by the blood of Jesus Christ we are bound to Him as Lord, which means we give Him our life.
