She knows my position on violence. And agrees that it's better to die upholding Christ than to kill enemies while denying him.
I’m not talking about dying. I’m talking about allowing your wife to be raped while you stand by and do nothing. And your wife does nothing to try and stop it? No kicking, punching or screaming?

You assume too much. Nobody dies before their time. Accidents are just as brutal as being murdered or being fed to lions.

Has the Lord not given us the right to defend ourselves, our family if the other party does not want to live in peace? It may not be possible to live at peace.

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
If someone were to try to convert a home invader (a vile criminal) WHILE the criminal is in the middle of abusing their child, they have missed the whole point.

We can defend ourselves and the helpless.

(though there is a fine line and we ought to definitely live in peace with all, even when wronged)

When people paint with such large brushes, the pictures are without detail and make for a weak overall image.

Where does scripture allow for this if it involves violence in the NT?

God wouldn't have you ignore the helpless in need when you can help.

People will probably try to take verses out of context to say otherwise, but no. You have the right idea.

If someone were to be very rude to you and even threaten you with death and open hand slap you in disrespect, this person certainly would qualify as an enemy. To love them is to want their best, this can include them to learn and grow from their mistakes.

Something like this should be handled by the local authorities.

If this same person ignored a restraining order, broke in your home and started to rape your daughter.... ya

You ought to defend the helpless in love. If this enemy dies, it doesn't even mean it was done out of spite.

How do you love enemies if you cause their death?

2 timothy 3
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Psalms 82:3

“Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.”

_________

2555. chamas
Strong's Concordance
chamas: violence, wrong
Original Word: חָמָס
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: chamas
Phonetic Spelling: (khaw-mawce')
Definition: violence, wrong
NAS Exhaustive Concordance
Word Origin
from chamas
Definition
violence, wrong
NASB Translation
malicious (3), violence (48), violent (6), wrong

There need not be a drop of malice, in physically defending a child from a rapist.

Wouldn't qualify as how violence was used in scripture.

But Jesus supersedes the OT teaching requiring violence. Why did He call Peter Satan for trying to defend him with force?

Love is wanting the best for someone to the point of self sacrifice. I would show my love for God and justice by stopping evil I have the power to stop, help the needy and helpless.

You don't love a rapist by letting him rape any more than you love a druggie by giving him drugs.

You are now being ridiculous and emotional.

The acts commited against a daughter being raped is violence.

A father to step in and stop it is justice.

Who despises His words?

(H)

Are you making a strawman in your emotions? A false accusation perhaps? Or just a fruitless unrelated question?

You assume there are no nonviolent ways to deal with violence. We should not think like them.

You assume I made that assumption.

No one said to think like anyone.

Show where Christ endorses anything you say in an effort to justify disobedience to his words.

Your weak arguements are of the flesh and far from God.

You are speaking to justify disobedience if anything.🤦‍♂️

Just another false accuser, lol I see why you stopped responding.

Every single post of his I have read contained one or more

false accusations
assumptions
strawmen
objectively incorrect statement

I will follow your lead.🙄

People like that will always try to get the last word. Fruitless.
