Those pesky cougars!

Or are they lynxes. I don't know

@tourist are you 70 years young? Or 71. Is being in your 60s a good age to be married? Cos I wonder If I should wait that long. What's the age gap between you and Jesuslives?

I know being in your teens is not a good age to be married..or even your twenties. However it's probably perfect for having children out of wedlock. Though nobody calls it 'wedlock' on this forum.

Weasels and Stoats we have, but no lynxes. I don't even know what a lynx is. Some kind of wild cat?

I am sure that cougars are a different kind of wild cat from lynxes though. Every creature after their own kind of course. God must have designed it that way.

Although I have heard of Tigons. Or Ligers.

I know my answer seems like I am full of myself but not really.

I was a really cute little kid blonde and green eyes, I have gotten ugly as I have gotten older so a reverse attractive for me. If I am attractive now it would be personality only. Younger years shy and attractive, older years confident and less outward attractive.

Green eyes?
That's special.
How much age gap between you and tourist if you don't mind me asking?

Yea, I'm sure those who feel like they were ugly ducklings probably don't realise they will be swans later. Or even if they stay a duck, ducks are cute anyway. Actually, I've never seen an ugly duck. I don't know how that came about, because swans when you think about it, have really loooong necks that kind of looks strange.

Another stupid thing that isn't literally true, ducklings turning into swans. Ducklings will turn into ducks, and cygnets will turn into swans.

My wife and I are both 71. She is 17 days older than me. We got married at the age of 59. She is my 3rd wife.

I was 23 when I first got married. I made a horrible choice. 6 1/2 years of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. Cheating on me too.
go

I was single and celibate to the next 18 years before getting married to my 2nd wife at the age of 47.

The thing is, that was a lonely marriage as the last couple years I was not able to have a coherent conversation with her due to her pain and her medications. I was her caregiver besides holding down a full-time job.

Eventually, I was unable to provide the type of care that she needs, and she had to go into a nursing home. Before she went into the nursing home, she slept in a medical bed in our apartment. while I slept on a couch in the same room, which was the living room. I rarely slept more than 2 hours at a time.

All of this happen during my 8 years living in Maine so that she could be close to her family. My family was in Florida. I was totally isolated, physically drained, and depressed.

There will not be a 4th marriage.

As to your question, any age is a good age to get married as long as there is love, and the means to support a household. It is best to have a God-centered marriage.

I am not sure how old you are but if the right guy comes along you might want to give that guy a chance to develop a relationship with you. Why waste precious years pondering whether or not you one day might want to get married?

The truth is - I had love in my heart to share with someone and who had love in her heart to share with me. I have spent years being single and living for just myself. Those were not very fulfilling years. Basically, work, eat, and sleep. Each day. Endless cycle. Lonely years too.

JesusLives is an awesome wife.

Late 20's or early 30's is a good age if having children is desired. Yes, in the context of a marriage otherwise you are just playing house.

Too late.
Also, can't afford a house lol
I have lots of children...that aren't mine. I like it better that way.

Actually I lie I may have a house, depending on circumstance in my family. But I have to fix it up first as it just needs TLC. Otherwise it will be busted down/moved to make way for 4 tiny townhouses, which are sort of like playhouses not real houses.

I would literally die if I had my own children, or the children/child would probably not live very long, not for any medical reason, but because it hurts too much to bear them I think. They also grow up and may move away. I know as I was a child myself.

No 'right guy' is going to come along for me, and if he did, he's not likely to want to marry me.
I can't even imagine what it would be like. It doesn't mean I'm not attractive, but all men seem to want is a mistress, not a wife because in my country, wives aren't treated the best.
I'm not going to do the proposing either, I cant' deal with all the rings, vows, wedding drama, mortgage, changing your name, family conflict etc. I think men have it easier though I don't feel like I am wasting my years.

Most men here don't have means to support a household, so its kinda a moot point. Even the homes that are being built are turning out to have problems, leaky buildings etc. Those that seem to, are actually mortgaged to the hilt and drowning in debt.
I know one couple, didn't marry, and the hubs (or man) works in Australia in the mines cos it's good money (couple of children) and works the whole year there and only comes home for maybe a month or so, he just sends money over.

I think some women/mothers can handle it solo, but I know I wouldn't esp if I had a son or even a daughter that needed their daddy living in the same household and to see them everyday, not just in the holidays.

I thought you were twins.
lol
I don't have cougars in my country, so don't really know what you are talking about. We just have dogs, weasels and stoats. And moggies, but they just catch birds.

I think it's kind a cool to have the same birthday as someone else. I'd love to meet someone like that, younger or older or exact same year doesn't matter, I just have never met someone born the same day as me.

A Cougar is an older woman marrying a younger man.

I am December 23, 1954 and Tourist is January 9, 1955.

Well, that probably happens a lot, I mean you can't always time these things.
A friend of mine who married their husband was maybe a year or so older and she joked that he was her 'toy boy'.

So is the younger man, like a cub?

We just would call it 'robbing the cradle'

I think in high school since you are in classes with your peers who are at most 2 years older/younger and in school generally the age span is 5 years, if you meet someone then, say your childhood sweetheart there won't be much difference in ages.

But when you go to uni, there could be people you meet who are much older than you, professors, those older students, phd candidates etc. And younger students fresh out of high school will be very attractive to older sophmores (i think they are called that in the US- we don't have that term here)

There will also be an element of teacher-student relationship in a campus setting. I mean I'm just stating the obvious here I don't think that's news to anyone.

When I entered the workforce, it as a shock to have much older men interested in me, old enough to be my dad. While I can find men up to 20 years older attractive and they in me and I'm not too bothered, any that are much older than that and have daughters my age I'm like ...NO. That not gonna happen.
