Hi Maggie, I wish I had a nickle for every time I've spoken to this misunderstanding. You've just used the word
theory in its colloquial form, not as scientists understand and use it, and this leads to all sorts of confusion on the part of creationists. Rather than taking the time to explain, once again, what scientists actually mean by
theory I though I would instead direct yourself to a video of scientists giving the scientific usage of the word. I hope you watch it.

prediction for a class of phenomena: Einstein's theory of relativity. Synonyms: principle, law, doctrine.

ONE DEFINITION is as acceptable as another..........however: even if we accept the first listed, it is important to note what it ACTUALLY says.........
1. a coherent group of tested
general propositions,
commonly regarded as correct, that
can be used as principles of explanation and
prediction for a class of phenomena: Einstein's theory of relativity. Synonyms: principle, law, doctrine.
So, it IS NOT Scientific TRUTH..........just so we are clear..........it is a "theory," and by it's very definition, that renders it moot.................
