Ok this is something that bothers me that I've heard some believers say... Sex is for married people only the way God intended it to be (Obviously as a Believer i agree with that 100 percent) What i don't appreciate is the tone or attitude of how that statement is said. almost very prideful and boastful if you ask me.. being single is hard enough but like others have said before on this thread where are we supposed to go to find one ??? Sometimes us singles didn't get married by age 23 and we have struggles that married people never had the luxury of experiencing for themselves .. just sayin.
Really??? You think you could maybe slap a couple of stamps on her and mail her up here?
LOL! I don't think anything a married person has ever said to me could top reading in this thread that all of us who have been married and had children are old and ugly. hahahaha!![]()
Your so lucky your single if I was single i'd have more time to spend with the Lord, i'm sure thats not what she thinks when shes snuggled up with her husband at night
At my old job, married guys used to tell me how lucky I was to be single. They used to tell me how their wives played games with them meaning that they would treat them badly (not talk to them, refuse to listen to them, etc..) until they got something they wanted, or they would always complain about stuff and were never satisfied no matter how hard the guy tried to make them happy.
I always find it hard when they say that being single is a gift bla bla bla. Often those are people who married young and don't know how hard it is to be single when all you want is someone to love. We have a huge problem with singleness in the Church over here and no idea how to fix it.
The grass is always greener...? But I'm guessing those guys were not christians and didn't have christian wives, either? I never played games with my husband when I was married. I never refused to talk to him or refused to listen to him or whined for material possessions or complained about his income, etc. I don't think christian wives are like this, for the most part, but maybe I'm wrong there too. At least I wasn't.
Hey, at least I still have my charmand my health...![]()
I don't know I'm inspired by the great Christian marriages of people who have been together for over 50 years and still as much in love as ever.
I like listening to them more then the ones who are bitter and hateful.
They shine brighter with God's love and light and aren't so sad or mad all the time. Its nice to be in the presence of people who shine with God's love and look towards Jesus and show the fruits of the Spirit to learn how to live in the world and not be apart of the world.
I just praise God for the success stories that give me hope that marriage and love still works in this world and shows that GOD is in control and that it is HIS plans that runs our lives not the bitterness or darkness people like to focus on. We should instead look towards God's light and His answer of how to love Him and one another.
May God bless you all and give you friendships and love that last a lifetime and beyond. Hope to see you all in Heaven.
