Just wondering, has anyone ever had a literal physical thirst for God and His word? like the spiritual one we can have?Does it make sense to have a literal physical thirst? I was on here last night and early this morning, I spent hours, I mean literally hours with a member in worship and all.when we were done, I was physically and spiritually thirsty, I thought it had no connection...but I was wrong...
I went to get some water, I drank and drank idk how much water, but the thirst never was quenched, so I said well I'm going to take water with me, and go ahead and read in my Bible. After I read in the Bible, I was no longer thirsty.
I mean i was like what does this mean you know? I was sort of well I was caught up in thought,I felt and thought, still do, that it's the true meaning of being dead to sin, the flesh, and all temptation there is. Not saying being perfect, as no one is perfect other than the Lord Himself, but that the mind, heart, soul, spirit, body, feelings, everything about one, is one thing, in the Lord. I know that sounds sort of...''unbelievable'' however it's true.
So yeah, just wondering, has anyone ever experienced this, or do you know anyone that has? If so, please share with me what it was like, what you felt it meant. I'm just amazed at how this happened, and want to know if my thought of understanding on this is right, or wrong, or at least along the lines of what it's suppose to mean.
Isaiah 55:1Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
John 7:37 On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
He filled me, He quinched my thirst. Nothing else could, it's amazing! Praise the Lord for allowing me to have this experience! I have a never ending hunger and thirst for the Lord and His word, but this is something totally new and radical. Please help me out if you can, I would really appreciate it! God bless!
