There is no such thing as up and down in space. Gravity pulls everything to it's center. So do you think the earth is like some huge cookie floating in the sky? My son has over 20 telescopes, why is it every other planet is round? And if it's flat, why haven't we found the edge? And, we've been viewing the earth for decades from satellites, the Shuttle, the space station, the Hubble, and other telescopes. What's your problem?

For those reporting this thread, or thinking that in some way the site admin team agrees with flat earth theology because we allow these threads.
A) If you don't post in the thread it will quickly roll off the front couple of pages and disappear.
B) Posting trying to convince flat earthers of their incorrect interpretation of scripture does absolutely no good. You can post NASA images all day long and they will just brush them off as being CG forgeries.
C) Christian Chat routinely allows topic discussion that we as a site do not agree with and that allowance should in no way be interpreted as an endorsement.

The earth is on pillars. The edge is Antarctica, it's a wall of ice that goes around the whole earth. A circle. And check out operation fishbowl. They were shooting straight up trying to see how high the firmament is.. Why would they call it operation fishbowl. As if we are in a fishbowl. The government knows the earth is flat and has for a long time. The devil has been lying to us for a long time. When you look at the moon at night though a telescope it should almost look transparent, because it is only a light. And the stars are only light. That's why they twinkle and move around.

In sailing around the world I notice that a boat never goes out,then down/up ect. it always floats,sails (around the earth). If you can aford it book a flight from the U.S. to a country on the other side of the planet and you'll quickly see why this is so laughable(no offense intended),just pointing out we live in an age where world wide travel is possible...
There is something science refers to as SEA LEVEL. We say this state is below sea level, this state is at sea level, this state is above sea level etc... In the USA we have 15teeners = 15,000 feet above sea level mountain peaks. In Europe, there are 18 -20 k peaks. Just by height of land mass compared to sea level, there is no way anything is flat!!
I would say, "put your pipe down and stop smoking that stuff," but sadly it appears, you are already perma stoned in your own ignorance...
And no way is the earth as a planet is flat. It would not be able to rotate according to the gravity pull of the moon, stars, planets, and sun, let alone the electromagnetic factor.

lol, you have to admit though this is probably a good way to end a long hard day in the U.S. Navy after sailing around the world(shame they cant film it for them),,,
Pj as far as the flat earth goes there is a huge problem with that theory. You see God knew what he was doing when he made our universe he placed the earth right ina specific spot where we are neither to close or to far away from the sun, in fact say you moved the earth just a tad bit either away or towards the sun the o zone would be greatly affected as would the temperatures on the entire planet. Now consider this also the gravitational pull that makes our solar system function. The gravitational pull at the strength it was made makes all the planets the moon and the sun move in the circulatory system that it does. But that also has to with mass or the weight of the planet, if a plant with very low mass was to be to close to the intense gravitational pull of the sun it would be pulled right into the massive fiery flames of the sun. So if say the planet earth was indeed flat, it loses almost 90 percent of it's mass and therefore would be sucked right into the sun by it's gravitational pull.
People can give all the evidence they want on why the earth is flat but if no none understands or considers how the rest of the universe works then they only defeat their own argument.

Well as I said I don't believe the Earth is flat. As far as the Sabbath no one changed that. Evolution is no contest.
I want to listen to the rebuttal on flat Earth theroy. I need a Ken hamm out look on the matter.

It does not matter to me, flat earth, round earth, for things go on the same, and I do not care to look in to it.
But this only took about 10 seconds to think of it, and causes me to not even want to check in to anything of the flat earth for sure.
Because why do this study and that study, when get to the heart of the matter that will disprove it.
I thought of this, how we observe night and day, when it goes from night to day, and day to night.
We know that it is dark for a while so it is obvious the sun's light does not affect our area at times, so the light can only go so far and then have an ending point then darkness.
If the sun is always 3000 miles above a flat earth's surface then there would have to have an ending to the light, and an ending to the dark, a separation between the two, a dividing line.
Which the light would chase the darkness, and the darkness would chase the light, for the sun is always 3000 miles above the earth.
The light can only go so far then darkness, and the darkness can only go so far then light, because the sun is always above the earth's surface.
So according to a flat earth this is how we should observe it going from dark to light, and light to dark, for the darkness would chase the light, and the light would chase the darkness, having a dividing point between them.
It would be dark in our area, and then we would see the light coming our way, but it would still be dark in our area until the light reaches our area, and then the light would pass through our area, and we would see the darkness going off in the distance, and when it is light in our area we would see the darkness coming our way, but it would still be light in our area, and then the darkness would pass through our area, and we would see the light going off in the distance.
