2 Timothy 2
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

There is a right way to disagree and a wrong way. May we in all humility consider others higher than ourselves and not judge the wheat and the chaff before the time, least we call our brother an unbeliever (a fool) by mistake, risking calling one who has the spirit of God, a child of the devil. What a horrible
Thought. May we be slow to Speak and quick to Listen, think the best of others, and correct Gently and Lovingly if we feel it is right to. Where we can, let us not argue over anything but speak our understanding of scripture from a calm and caring heart and leave God to do the judging and convicting. Haven’t we all learned we were wrong about somethings we were once zealously believing? And the lessons and correction will never stop if we are waking with God. We do not have all knowledge and we do not help anyone by being offended or being offensive. We can state our understanding in a way that doesn’t attack anyone and leave the rest to God.

You haven't condemned homosexuality in this response, nor in your response concerning the Pope why?

Because you condone and endorse homosexuality, that's my opinion.
And just like that this thread becomes about homosexuality?
Two cents worth here. You realize you're proving their OP point?
Taking my coppers and exiting this post now. :p

Christian community has its own political correctness Manifesto. Just try saying:

- "science states"
- "microevolution" (speciation, or adaptation of a Noah's ark "kinds" into diverse species. I used this term before on CC and brothers and sisters came insisting that I should absolutely not use the term and that it's wrong to use it. I was genuinely surprised, even after I explained my views the term was still opposed, it was like I used "the wrong pronoun")
- "evolution" - brothers and sisters who interpret the Bible different than the majority are vehemently renounced
- "amillennialism" - they are not "true" believers, they are "not saved"
- "the church is Israel" (comprised of both Jews and non Jews) - people immediately come screaming "replacement theology"
- "saved by grace alone" - there will always be people quick to accuse you of "preaching license". So you can't attribute all the glory to God without getting opposed or being forced to put up a politically correct disclaimer of obedience, which should be a no brainer.
Sometimes, it's enough to say "science"... :censored:

This is tiresome.
For a lot of people, the more something is banned and suppressed, the more they are considering it. That's certainly something to think about. You're actually pushing fellow Christians to consider whatever view you're so emphatically against, the more you do this, the more people will consider it.
If you've visited religious forums before you'll likely note the Bible Discussion Forum, BDF, is almost always the most contentious. Except for one site I know of that is hardly active at all and have rules that forbid such a thing.

I think it is because faith is of course personal. And each person thinks they know what they're doing with their belief because they're certain the destiny of their soul counts on being on the right path. Consequently, when they encounter someone on their own path who don't see the guideposts precisely as they do there can be conflict. It also depends upon the level of maturity of the travelers as well.

I've encountered people who will appear to be all love and light in their signatures, their profile picture, their pasted greetings to new Christian arrivals. However, disagree with them on one thing and they will twist what the person said so horribly as to be unrecognizable and then their mask drops and the real dark side shows up.
And that shows readers that it isn't just showing up, it was there all along.
You can paint, wallpaper, and Spackle a rotted wall in a dilapidated house so as to make that wall appear lovely. Put a little pressure on that structure and the cosmetic masking caves in. The stink of the rot beneath fills your nostrils and in that instant you realize you're looking at a fake. Something disguised to make it lovely when underneath it is rotten and dead on the inside.
And as I've said before, wolves travel in packs.

To add to your observation, one thing I've noticed when corruption of ones actual thoughts start off it takes but the first one to begin the campaign. And then a handful of the same people become the followers and engage in the same behavior.

What you're witnessing isn't political correctness in so much as it is the bullies platform. We see it in politics quite often. Religion is its own kind of politic.

as for mr truth there, he believes the gospels, book of Acts, James and maybe one or to two others, are not really for Gentiles

he believes no doctrine can be formed from those books. his views are to be found all over this forum and he seems to be here all the time
Are you referring to [member] "Truth7t7" (in some posts before yours, in this thread)? Because... he does not believe what it is you are suggesting he does.

Perhaps you are confusing this member with another member ?? It seems so, to me.

If you speak of myself, your judgement is incorrect.

I stated in this forum that Soulweaver hasn't condemned homosexuality after multiple post of myself to see the (True Identity) of this posters belief, that is still unknown?

I don't answer to you. You have to understand, that you are not Spanish inquisition on here, nor the forum owner, nor my husband, nor am I going to kneel on corn grains before you, just because you decided to slander me. I can invent anything about you and likewise demand of you to publicly apologize for things you never believed or professed.
Any time anyone clashes or disagrees with you on ANY subject, you stalk them around and falsely accuse them of supporting homosexuality and abortion. We clashed, maybe better say just disagreed because I wasn't being ugly to you, about your views on science yesterday, and you have harassed me with lies since.
You went after many members before in the same way to harass them. Maybe you need to get reported since you seem incorrigible and do not respond well to patience and tolerance.

You still haven't condemned homosexuality, it's you who wants to police the christian community with (political correctness) God condemns homosexuality, its (Bad News)

You recently responded to the Pope condoning same sex unions as (Good News) Gods words speak other wise.

I even made my views very clear over this thread, for those who actually want to read it. Multiple times.
He demands some special "apology letter" because he won't admit he's wrong. I told him at the beginning of the thread, when he claimed I condoned homosexuality, that I didn't, but me simply saying "no" is not acceptable to him, he wants to dictate my speech and force me to apologize for something I don't believe in. He also quoted me out of context to make it look like he wanted, even though my post was only a few sentences long, and it wasn't hard to quote in full. Then he will turn around and complain how the evil media takes things out of context and lies. Are we then any better?

Meh, you can have all the ecumenicalistic, campfire, cumbyyah stuff ya like. I personally think that correct teaching is a necessity.
Personally have learned and changed my mind concerning things because the debating in this very forum. So keep the point counter point going. It sure helps me in my Bible study.

I am not against contrasting points. But at some point, we have to realize that they reach way further if given in lovingkindness.
The Spirit has the last word and the true influence upon the soul.
It is true that people rarely manage to debate one another into some view. We can present where we come from and what convinces us, and how we came to such and such conclusion; but what the other person does with that is another matter... We can't force others into an opinion. Also, if we are being overbearing in presenting our findings, it actually motivates people to lean towards the opposite.
I am mainly pointing out that oppressing one another and thought policing doesn't work.
Nothing wrong with sharing views, or debating as long as it doesn't get ugly.

Ezekiel 16:48 As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, your sister Sodom and her daughters never did as you (Jerusalem) and your daughters have done. 49 Now this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed, and complacent; they did not help the poor and needy. 50 Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them, as you have seen.

I believe the point that is being made is as pertains to tact.
One doesn't lead by a good example when defending their understanding of the word when they use hate filled attack words. Words that intend to offend, hurt, and shut down those opposed to that offenders beliefs.

We have an example in this thread as to how not to go about providing a righteous example of being in the word. There are plenty of people who read the word of God and then there are those who are in the word of God.

There was a thread before and it's long past now so as not to recall its title however, what entered that discussion was how to deal with the verbally abusive and/or the dark minded. We do know there are non-Christians who pose as Christians just for fun and to demean Christians.
One such method was to have fun with it. Because the verbally abusive, the dark minded, the slanderers, the liars who reword a Christian's post in order to attack that Christian, are in this world. Why not have a laugh rather than feel upset at their efforts, which feeds them and encourages them to continue.

If you care to read such people just add, "...in bed" to their remarks.

As in, "You're an idiot! When did you think you knew anything about the bible moron!.....in bed."

I tried that with a cop who took issue with my nearly expired temporary tag. "Miss, you're going to be driving illegally in six hours if you don't get your tag changed to a permanent registration."
I was on my way to the DMV when he pulled me over.
" I could give you a ticket now you know, (no he couldn't), what do you say about that? " answered aloud and why not: "in bed."

Who knew cops have a sense of humor? I don't.
Kidding! Not really.
In bed.

The perfect example of using a (Trigger) word, and thought policing in the name of political correctness (Sensitivity) Offend, Hurt, Hate, Smiles :)

The truth of Gods word is offensive to many, even to ones own family members.

Matthew 10:34-36KJV
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
