The seems a bit like the inquisition. Surely people are smart of enough if they are Christians to discern what is or isn't "kosher", it would be an insult to their intelligence otherwise.

The Admin/Mod team here tries to find a balance between allowing "free speech" with the discussion of different doctrines, and keeping heretical teaching to a minimum. If we crack down we are accused of being too heavy handed, too lax and we are accused of allowing heretics to mislead others. Since this site receives literally hundreds of new posts daily it would be impossible for us (at current funding/staffing levels) to pre-screen every post prior to it being publicly visible without rapidly ending up with a backlog of unscreened posts.
We encourage users to utilize the "report" button when blatant heresies or blasphemy are being promoted and site staff will deal with them.

Although I despise blasphemous speech dealing with our Lord, The thought of squelching speech of any kind, except threats, is revolting. That is what many in the homosexual agenda are trying to do to Christians preaching Scripture counter to this sin.

i thought the screening was for foul language and blatant sexual remarks etc things that are in the c c rules for participation. editing violators is one thing but we wouldnt want to be guilty of censorship

Also that would require having at least one person do nothing but read posts 24/7. And since mods are unpaid volunteers that would mean if no mods were logged in, then no posts could be put up. This could last hours. I think it would kill conversations and possibly kill the site in general if people had to wait hours to just get a post approved.
And to Gray... not everyone who comes on this site is a seasoned Christian. Many people are new believers on here and still have much to learn. To assume that just because someone is a Christian means they automatically know bad teaching is neglecting new believers. Also, the bible itself says many Christians will be deceived by false doctrines.
