I do not have the law memorized, but having read through many times over, I reminded as I act if anything is lawful or not. Jesus teaches us just exactly how to understand and follow the law by His Example and Word. There are many laws I just like more than others because they remind me of many other manners of morality one should adhere to in order to be lawful.

We are required by law (not that we need to memorize this because of our new self by the Holy Spirit), if we encounter our enemy's beast (or any property) strayed from him, to take the beast etc. home and care for it until it is propitious to return it to him. This law has love, justice and mercy self-contained.

Another where we are commanded not to move our neighbor's land marker always strikes me as the fine touch of a Master of ethics.

All the law is good and affords true wisdom to all mankind, while it all points to Jesus............ God bless all in Jesus Christ, amen.

ok. The pharisee had the law memorized, And did all he could of his power to obey the law. What makes you any different than him? (In trying to obey the law of your own power)

Actually he showed mercy when he allowed a rebelious and sinful nation to go on for centuries before he finally went to the final area of discipline in lev 26 (military defeat and complete removal from land until the repent) and even today he proves his mercy by the fact they still, as a nation, exist.

I think what they are trying got get it, is what power did Jesus use, how did he do it. Not what they did.

Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life. No one will come to the Father but by Him..

Now, I do not know exactly what specific or specific you are going for , but He certainly explains Himself in these declarations.

By His teachings, which are on the hearts of believers and not memorized rote, we know most of why He is as He is.

I highlighted the part that I also think shows love justice and mercy. It's the persuasion that I see even though I don't have a cow or anything like that. My neighbor, who was a very good person, had a pasture with a herd of cattle next to our property however, so I took this law to heart for loves sake. Nothing happened bad, and our love for each other continued to grow to the point of his death. Mercy, judgment and love flourished in our relationship.

The only mercy that can be found in the law is what it leads us to. which is christ

That is the purpose of the schoolmaster.

The only mercy in the law can be found in love, yet that law was not new at the giving of the law to moses. It was already well established from the time of Adam.
