I never said that now did I. I will never be perfect...I will SIN, but I can assure thanks to the word, there are some SINS that dont entangle me anymore.
This whole debate probably comes down to how you define SIN and what SIN is...if you believe sin is an action, then you will always be under condemnation and guilt and ruled by the accuser and never truly be freed by the SON. If you believe as the Bible correctly teaches us, that SIN is a choice, then you will come to revelation knowledge that what the SON and what he did have set you free.
For Example:
John 8.1-11 is the story of the pharisee's [the accusers] bring Jesus the woman who committed habitual adultery. They asked Jesus what he would do, because the law of Moses said she should be stoned.
Jesus asked them whoever does not have SIN throw the first rock.....they all left because they had SIN. Then he told the woman something very interesting and I quote: "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
Since Jesus had not yet gone to the cross, this woman was still under the Mosaic Law/Covenant. We know that no one could keep the law only Jesus did, so was he setting her up for immediate failure by stating :go, and sin no more.
I dont think he was setting her up from immediate failure, so what did he mean by stating: go, and sin no more.
I think he was telling her that she had the CHOICE to be an adulterer or not, that she could continue living in SIN as an Adulterer or not....it was her CHOICE and I will ask you...If the Adulterous woman left the light of the world and never committed the SIN of Adultery ever again, did she go, and sin no more?!?!?!
The question you should be asking is, did Jesus say she would be perfect or have victory over a SIN that entangled her, and that she had the power, through him, to overcome the single SIN of Adultery?
I also think Jesus masterfully handled her accusers. He was telling the woman that I forgive you and those others that come against you, have no power to keep you bound and oppressed by your single SIN, If I have forgiven you and you are neither barren or unfruitful in your knowledge of me, then you shall never fall and your accuser is rebuked by my blood and the word of your testimony!
Victory over SIN is not absolute perfection as Jesus was. It is renewing your mind and not being conformed to this world[Romans 12]
As Hebrews 12. 1 tells us: let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Those that fail to grasp this Bible truth are rooted and grounded in condemnation and sin consciousness teaching and preaching, which has been used since the pharisees[John 8 is a great example] to promote church and personal wealth and keep people FUD and is a lie straight from hell to keep God's people from ever being a partaker of the divine nature and truly understanding who they are called to be.
I am not perfect and I am a sinner, and I do SIN, but like the adulterous woman, I have met the Light of the world and he has forgiven me and shown me that by his blood and the word, I am an overcomer to the accuser....and that SIN is my choice not any action I commit or thought I think....

Maybe , and that is a BIG maybe, if I shut myself up in a room all by my self, and stayed on my knees in prayer for 24 hours, Maybe I would not sin.
But I choose to go out into a wicked world everyday as a witness .
When you walk through a hog pen you are going to get mud on you. And probable some other stuf.
Just make sure you wash it off every day.

The truth is that every single time a human being does something for someone else there is AT LEAST a tiny little piece of them that is doing it for themselves and therefore every time we do something nice for someone else we are sinning. .....for it says "do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility, consider others better than you consider yourselves."
My answer is Matthew 6. When I listened to it again from audio reading one day in my car it really hit home for me. If you were to read Matthew 6, you will understand why I will not answer you on this.

I don't have a self righteous attitude, as I know I deserved to be condemned for my past ways and did not deserve the grace that God gave to me.
There is a big difference once again in being self righteous, and one who trusts in the Lord in all things to keep me from sinning on an everyday basis. If I was self righteous I would keep my testimonies to myself and not try to help others in their walk. I give everyday and everything I do to the Lord our God....
Does Apostle Paul say through Christ we can do all things, or just some things ???

I always chose not to sin, but some times I fail. I do not realize it until the Holy Spirit convicts my heart.

Remember the Lord walked in this wicked world to, and He showed a clear example of the greatest self control that one can have. For He dealt with the same things we deal with to show an example that with and through Him, we can be among the wicked but not act or walk as they do.
Remember the bible says it is only impossible by ourselves, but we who are born again are not by ourselves as we have the Holy Spirit are guide and helper. Who through Him the bible says all things are possible !!!

Paul clearly starts off saying this is the will of God, as there are more then just one scripture that tell us what the will of God in our lives is. And it is not just believe, unless you follow the Lord Jesus definition of believe. Come, hear, and do all that He said; <------That is His definition of those that believe in Him. (Luke 6:46-49, Matthew 28:16-20, John 14:15)

You have to remember that when one promotes the following they cannot admit any other line of thought, because to do so would admit they are lost in the doctrine that they presently walk in...
1. NO sin in my life
2. Not a sinner I am perfect
3. I do many wonderful works in the name of Christ
4. I always walk in a manner that pleases him
5. I do no evil
etc.
Correct a true believer will have those things in their walk - never denied anything concerning our walk BUT that does not get nor maintain our salvation.
And no one has denied that our walk should "imitate" Christ.What no one has addressed is that all men are born in the flesh and that flesh is inherited from Adam - we all have a sinful nature in the flesh. Then we are born again of God's Spirit - we are partakers of the divine nature. These two natures are directly in opposition to each other. The flesh [the sinful nature] lusteth against the spirit and the spirit [divine nature] lusteth against the flesh. These two natures are constantly battling it out and it is why we are told to renew our minds, to cast down imaginations, to mortify the deeds of the flesh. That is why we are to PUT on the new man [the divine nature]. It is not always easy because our natural self, our flesh's impulse is to sin - that is the nature of man. We are told to run the race, to fight the fight, all phrases related to athletes who have to work daily to keep their bodies in shape to "win the prize" = our walk. The prize is not eternal life - that is promised to us through faith but it is the "little extras" - I believe there are 5 crowns spoken of - that we will receive for our works that are not burned up but remain . . .
