And when you misinterpret scripture, I say so. You actually are not thinking it through so you simply state you are right and I am wrong based on your supposed superiority.
Hogwash and codswollop; I tell you that you are wrong because your assertions contradict Scripture.

I think that if you could comprehend that scripture is from the Lord telling of Himself rather than a personal dialogue that God has with Hebrews and not for gentiles that we could be able to at least discuss scripture.
That is your understanding of Scripture. It is not what Scripture itself says, so I don't accept it, and there is nothing further to comprehend.

The Law is part of Scripture, not all of it. I have never stated nor implied that scripture is not for gentiles. The Law was given to Israel, not to the gentiles. The land of Canaan was divided only among the tribes of Israel.

I know one of the misunderstandings that the church has and that is if we do things "my way" and ignore scripture, somehow we can expect God to bless what we do.

BIBLE Proof. Contextually. using a Greek translation in which a word has many meanings yet the context that best fits with the "word " should be used.
Seems that you answered your own question.

I do rely on 66 books and much more also.

You assume you are the only person with a 100 book library LOL that is nothing. The word of God does say to study amen.
But for one to learn you must be teachable, you are not. A teacher is only as good as he is humble and willing to continue to learn. I am sure you are proud of your facts, and accomplishments and I render honor to those whom honor is due.

You assume you know alike more than others and you should apologize for that. You suggest others do not know what you know, and you should apologize for the TOO. you assume one only relies on the 66 books of the Bible, that you should apologize for too.

Many here rely on the 66 books and much more listen you might learn something, we rely on the 66 books of the Bible which the word Bible means " Books"

it is the inerrant word of God. So Yea, we should rely on it. 2. We have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit who we too must rely on. We have the Eyewitnesses who have testified of what they have seen throughout history and yes we should study to know what they have said AND judge it by what the 66 Books say as to if the testimony is Truth.

If you think God is impressed with your level of knowledge, he is not. How you apply what you know, testify to your wisdom.

many of us have commentaries, bible dictionaries, learned Greek and Hebrew, or currently doing so. You errored in thinking you were the only one with 100 books Big deal. I would rather have one book with 66 in it and have the Holy Spirit help as I study that than 100 other books written about the one book that has 66 books in it.

I leave you with this.

1cor 1:21

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

Notices in this Letter your knowledge or mine was not taken into account.
I NEVER said I had a library of 100 books. I said I had a library of over 1,000 books.

I wilol ignore your sarcasm and put downs as I am very secure in my walk with the Lord and am not the slightest bit interested in your pontifical judgments. FYI, I know what I know because I have been very teachable over the years and sat at the feet of many great men of God who have known far more than I have.

For example my OT lecturer at Bible College was a converted Jew whose knowledge was vast.

I have majored on being taught by Derek Prince who is a giant amongst men when it comes to expounding the scriptures.

The major reference books I have in my library are ones that expound the scripiture by people like Elwell's Evangelical Dictionary of the Bible. Elwells Encyclopedia of the Bible. Roger Forster God's Strategy in Human History. Finney's Systematic Theology. Merrill's Kingdom of Priests. Williams Renewal Theology. Rushdoony Institutes of Biblical Law. Wilson Before the FLood. Morris The Genesis Record. Forster Radical Church History. Calvin The Institutes of Christian Religion. Stone Breaking the Jewish Code. Ryrie A Survey of Biblical Doctrine. Wallace Calvin, Geneva and the Reformation. Wagner Dark Angels. Murray The Believers New Covenant. Wells Icons of Evolution. Pawson Unlock the Bible and so on and so on.

And I have nothing to apologise for because you are making your unwarranted and incorrect judgments because you have rejection. Having had it myself, I know what it looks like and when I see it, it stands out a mile.

As far as what God is impressed with, I will let God be the judge of that. If I took to heart everything people like you say, I would have killed myself a long time ago.

You rely on 66 books and more is OK with you but it is not OK with me, according to you. If that isn't double dutch I don't know what is. Have a nice day.

Thank you for your resumes and I'm sorry Derek Prince, I have not heard of it and must be a giant in the UK. my point was and is you are rude and arrogant. That was it. For one to provide such a lofty resume, and have such a vast volume of books and literature; that has you as you say "artistic" why are you unable to be more edifying?

I have looked through many of your posts and you lack the ability to teach, yet you claim to have so much understanding, why is that? I would love to hear of the edifying and biblical positions of Mr. Prince, and the statement of faith he has for his ministry.

For the sake of unity, I will ask you to forgive me for my ignorance and ask you lets start over and see if You can prove me wrong in my assessment of your understanding.

I have no interest in proving anyone wrong. All I want to do is what God has called me to do and that is to teach. If that bothers you, you will have to take it up with God because I did not ask to be given the gift of teaching, it was his choice and his alone.

Derek Prince is not an it, he is a person and one of the greatest teachers Christendom had ever produced. He was a Professor of Linguistics at the age of 25 at Oxford University and he specialised in Hebrew and Greek. He was the youngest ever professor at the University. He has written hundreds of books about the christian life and the meaning of scripture and although he is no longer alive his ministry prints and gives away hundreds of thousands of books every year to christian in country's where they cannot afford the price of a book.

He was only ever interested in the truth and the facts and with his very incisive mind he was able to extract both with every subject he dealt with. If I only produce one tenth of what that man did I will be very satisfied.

If you think I am rude and arrogant you will have to take that up wth God because I did not choose to be autistic. Being such makes me very direct and to the point. When I talk to other autistic people I don't tell them they are rude and arrogant because I know that they are being themselves as only they can be. I don't criticise them for having a disability and tell them they have to change.

I have dialogued with people who specialise in treating autism and they all say the same. The autistic person cannot change so other people have to change to accommodate the autstic way of thinking and doing. Most churches can't or won't change so autistic people are usually seen as a problem rather than as an asset that can add so much to the life of the church.

I have never said I am artistic. I leave that to my wife because she is an artist and trained art teacher.

One final point. You don't attack the person on this blog. You deal with what they say as in "I have looked through many of your posts and you lack the ability to teach." That is not for you to judge. I for one have not found anything in your posts that indicate you are doing a better job of things than I am which in essence proves nothing.

You write well enough to know if you are with in the parameters of reasonable conversation. Autism is not an excuse. I have an autistic cousin who is very autistic and blind, and he knows how to interact with others without being rude. He is not even able to be self supporting, he has to have care 24/7, as a young adult. He has to be walked where ever he goes, and food prepared for him, and all the basics of life are handled by his mother. He is I guess what they classify as level 3 which is very low functioning, and he knows what is rude and what is acceptable.
Your rudeness is not because of autism, it is because of arrogance.
You say you are gifted to teach, how well does that and rudeness go together? Because you are very rude, and crass, and disrespectful. If you desire to teach the first thing you must do is learn how to teach people. Having subject knowledge is insufficient for a teacher. Not only must a person know the subject, but they must be patient, and understand people and able to present the information in such away that it is receivable.

it is not a judgment to say " you lack the ability to teach when you call yourself a teacher. In this setting, many have claimed many titles and offices that can not even or ever be verified. In addition, you say " I am autistic", as if that was common knowledge and justify rudeness. I never claimed to be a teacher. The office that God calls us to should be self-evedient in the person who makes the claim. One doesn't have to be a teacher to know a good one or one who is effective.

I am glad that you do not claim to be a teacher as it is patently clear you are not a teacher. Annointed teachers do not constsantly criticise others like you do, so the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

You are under no obligation to read what I write so if there is problem pass on by.

Please do. I tell you for your sake. But I also urge you to consider what is being said to you, and not just pass it along. Ask God to help you measure your words. I have to myself, and it's a good thing.

Hello all,
why do so meany people jump straight to the conclusion people keep Sabbath for salvation? Is it to much to think people might keep the Sabbath because they love God and are thankful for life it self? keeping the Sabbath is away to “Remember” The Creation of life as the Lord Gave mankind and not just Jews.

An interesting comment. So often a statement in scripture is made and we add to it to promote one of our pet subjects. As you said the Sabbath has nothing at all to do with salvation just as good works has nothing at all to do with salvation but many take it further than it is intended and deny good works because they believe they are not required for salvation. We agree they are not but it does not cancel out that the believer is called to good works.

I am not interested in proving anyone wrong. I write what I am led to write by the Holy Spirit and it is up to the reader to do what they want with it. Some respond to the issue and some attack the writer. I am sure you know who I am referring to.

We do have Sabbatarians coming to the forum telling us such things as how others are breaking some commandment to worship God on Sunday, as if it were a sin to worship God any other day of the week besides Sabbath. One would not even retract his ridiculous assertion when asked which commandment was being broken to worship God every day. Some are such extreme legalists on this point that it is clear they have a sense of superiority over others whom they look down upon as being ignorant of the proper way to honor God and worship Him in Spirit and Truth. Jesus is my Sabbath rest. God's day of rest has always been about Jesus, first pointing forward to His coming in fulfillment of hundreds of prophecies concerning Him, as well as fulfilling the law on our behalf and offering Himself as a propitiatory sacrifice, that all who believe by grace through faith in His shed righteous blood may be reconciled to God and attain to life ever after.

Hello Magenta,

Jesus too is my Rest.
The study of rest is very deep just as deep as Gods love. Peace and rest go hand and hand. God wants us to rest in him for our sins, and rest for our body and mind. "Day of rest" and one day we will rest in Jesus when we die. Also don't want to forget the Day Of Jesus' coming and we rest with him in heaven! For me its not just spiritual rest but it also tells me I live in the world and need physical rest too. until Jesus comes back and give me a new body I will need to take care of this one.

That's to bad, All the back an forth about how to keep a day can get old. I my self have to think if I only had the bible and no out side traditions to go by and decided to go to church one day I would only see the Sabbath from the bible. Its to bad the early church decided to start keeping Sunday and now has become the tradition of most churches today. Mark 7:13.

For me if its not in the bible then why do it? Paul said to the Corinthians "follow me as I follow Christ".. In other words In Gods church we should only follow Christ and not Paul. Or only follow him if he is following Christ.

Now is it wrong to worship on Sunday? I would have to say a BIG FAT NO!, We should worship everyday! But if I where looking for a day to worship with other believers I would leave that up to God and his Word that says Sabbath. Resting with other believers is key in our walk with God. And I understand that truth does not come to all at the same time. Even after Jesus died, some left over people still followed the teachings of John. Are people wrong for this. I Would have to say No again. God teaches us on different levels and meets us where we are in life.

Sabbath worship is not commanded in the New Testament... the law was fulfilled in Christ, in Whom we find our rest, because He fulfilled the law, whereas nobody else could, and to fail in one part is to fail the whole of it. If it makes someone feel better to observe Saturday instead of Sunday, that is certainly their prerogative to do so.

True and proper worship is this: to offer your bodies as a living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.

We die to ourselves so the God might live through us. This is a new life that is lived daily, not on certain days that some may esteem more than others.
