I’ve “called” myself a Christian my whole life, but recently discovered that I was only a fan. Jesus needs players, not fans. I was convicted of this through a sin I committed. I’ve become closer to God, my wife, and my family through this. I know God can use sin for good, but I’m having toxic thoughts of “you haven’t fully repented” or “you don’t deserve a good life”. I keep praying for the devil to flee!!

🙏

The devil is not supposed to be in your side and ear it is John the beloved disciple who is meant to be there. (Like Jesus)

If you have only committed 1 sin, You are good to go!

Once you confess your sins and begin the repentance process God no longer remembers your sin. You seem to be having doubts about your forgiveness from God. You can again tell God you're sorry for your sins, but since He has blotted them out from His memory, He would probably just scratch His head trying to figure out what you are talking about. It's time to let go and let God. You are right about the players verses the fans. You can only serve God by getting into the game. You understand this. Glad to have you as a member of our community. Looking forward to your posts. Welcome to CC.

Personal experience is the devil comes after true believers and takes any sin and turns it against us. Best time to pray to God is when this happens.

Remember, Jesus is in your corner as a believer in him. Also, we know about the mind of the flesh (sinful nature) versus the mind of the Spirit as mentioned in Romans 7 and 8 and Galatians 5. Born again believers experience this war for the rest of their lives, but over time of continual submitting to the Holy Spirit, it gets easier. Don't be discouraged and stay strong my friend!

Sin's can be lesson's I agree, however, Sin's also come with consequences in life. If what you have done involves another person. I think that it is most important to resolve this with them. The truth will set you free!!!

The greatest sinner of all was the Apostle Paul.
Actually, that was only Paul's personal opinion of himself and as such it was not necessarily a statement of truth. Obviously, he conducted a rather painful assessment of the wrongs in his past life and possibly the current ones too. Three times he prayed for God to remove the thorn in his flesh. God, in fact, did not remove it. God told Paul that His grace was sufficient for him. God's grace is sufficient for the rest of us as well.

We don't deserve a good life. We receive it through grace. Ask the Lord to search your heart and show you if there is some area where you ned to repent. Dont' just assume this sort of thing is the Devil.

I was just stating that one particular sin brought me closer to Jesus through conviction.
Lol, what is this sin you speak of?
tip: download the Bible youversion app and read some plans based on your sin.

Players are people that bring converts and increase on fan base, fans just believe and support the system.
