Yes Homeward baby believers need to mature
This world has taught many things that are not true, like if one sins they need more forgiveness when that is untrue because there is no frogiveness with out the shedding of blood and chjrist wasthe last shedding along with the last sacrifice,Seems to me tat Radius is the one claiming to know the future. Not only does he dogmatically claim he will continue in his rebellion toward God, but he insist I will also.
How in the world could he predict this?
Please stop sinless. I never said that I will outright "REBEL" against God in the future. I simply said that I cannot guarantee, and if I may be honest, most definitely will probably sin again in my life (as I said before though, don't equate my last statement with WANTING to sin, I am just being real with myself when I say I will sin again, because I am not perfect). Whether it be a lie, or gossip or some other kind of sin, I will probably do it, though I will come to regret it after I do.
why do you paint me as some full fledged sinning, orgy-swinging, alchol swilling Christian craving and lusting for my next violation towards God? I don't do those things. But I do still commit sins from time to time, however small or large they may be. Why do you suggest I am against God in my life when in fact I meditate daily, even hourly on the Lord?
God knows me to be a humble man, you on the other hand do not know me yet cast judgments on me. Pride comes before the fall sinless, I hope you can handle it. And if you really do commit one sin a year or not at all, good for you, now I have two people to model my life after -- you and Christ.../sarcasm/
Homey you are stretching it,,,, he did not lust, and the thought of a sin is not a sin. Jesus thought of sin, that is how he could judge it to be sin. Remember He lived with a devil for three years.
I understand Sinless, and I believe him. If I look where I came from and where I am now, I cannot believe their are so few people in the Truth...
Im all for edification, but we have also been called to rebuke and correct. So lets edify them to see truth then so they can grow in The finished work of the cross
Jesus, John, Peter, James, and Paul all thought differentlyEvery single believer, no matter what state they are in presently, through their experience, has the assurance of salvation that started when they believed upon the name of Christ. To believe otherwise is to have a faith that is apostate from the truth and from the cross of Christ. Woe to that man who has changed the truth into a lie.
Im all for edification, but we have also been called to rebuke and correct.
When you make a thread or post, that is meant for edification, and the sin lovers jump in defending their sin they need to be rebuked and corrected
[SUP]35 [/SUP]Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
[SUP]36 [/SUP]Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[SUP]38 [/SUP]This is the first and great commandment.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[SUP]40 [/SUP]On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
LOL Sinless I do not see myself living defeated or in victory. I see myself living for the beloved treasure that is the lords heart. If there is anything i am wrong about then i will humble myself before the lord, but i know that no one man can live their entire lives without sinning. Everyone here has been trying to enlighten to on your belief, everyone here has been either a lamp shining in the darkness or a person covering the lamp because they do not like the light. Many people do not welcomed the light when it is presented because it reveals their hearts. It is true, so why don't you stop living defeated and start walking in victory
There CANNOT be edification with sin in the picture... SIN IS SEPERATION,
Only SAINTS... that already stoipped sinning can be perfected and edified into the Body of Christ... EPH 4.
PLEASE get this.... there is no sin in love and no love in sin...
There is no sin in His light and no sinner in the light... God removes sin before HE ADDS YOU TO THE BODY OF PERFECTION..
[h=3]1 John 1:8-9[/h]King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[h=3]Romans 7:14-20[/h]New Living Translation (NLT)
[h=3]Struggling with Sin[/h][SUP]14 [/SUP]So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. [SUP]15 [/SUP]I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.[SUP]16 [/SUP]But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. [SUP]17 [/SUP]So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[SUP][a][/SUP] I want to do what is right, but I can’t. [SUP]19 [/SUP]I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. [SUP]20 [/SUP]But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.

- 7:18 Greek my flesh; also in 7:25.
This is speaking of people who were believing they had to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses to be saved. Not about those who were obey Jesus through the empowerment of Holy SpiritGalatians 3:3Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?
I cant see how we could ever be perfect in this flesh. We are saved by grace, not of our own, lest any man
should boast
You can't leave out pointing the sinner, whether a Christian or not, to the Lord Jesus Christ. For it is going to take his mercy and grace through the cross to deal with the sinner and his sin. God has already removed sin when he bore our sin upon his body on the cross and now if we sin as a Christian, we must learn to receive grace and in the strength of that grace we put the sin away by faith. In the midst of my worse bout with sin I can reckon myself to be dead to sin because of the cross. Putting the sin of the flesh away is by reckoning myself dead to it and that is how we repent through grace. We can repent because the sin was crucified on the cross and though I am guilty of sin I reckon on what Christ did to my sin. That will set me free from sin having dominion over me and I can then walk by faith in what Christ has done for me, as sin and for sin. Eternal security allows the sinner to be able to receive from God what he needs to be free from the power of sin and at the same time never lose his standing with God that was established by faith when he believed upon the Son.
...And those are all true and a reality as long as we persevere in the faith however if we choose to leave the fold then we jeopardise ourselves. "Abide in me and I in you". Jesus taught about the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son who became spiritually dead, which indicates that believers can become lost again. Rom 8:29 is for those who remain steadfast in the faith, those who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Rom 8:1).
The reason why lukewarmness is so rampant in Christianity today is because many preachers are trying to remove sanctification from the gospel message, it is either viewed as optional or they have a wrong perception of it, nonetheless it is part of the gospel as Christ died to sanctify and make us holy and peculiar people and the bible says without holiness no man will see God, therefore it's not something that should be ignored.
The Judgment Seat of Christ will be a time to evaluate believers' work done in the body such as our discipleship/soul winning (Prov 11:30), which is what Paul was referring to in 1 Cor 3, and enduring persecutions (Matt 5:11-12). The 'good' or 'bad' in 2 Cor 5:10 as well as the wood, hay, precious stones, and stubble that will be tried by fire (1 Cor 3:11-15) are not alluding to righteous and unrighteous deeds rather worthless and worthy service. Jesus built the foundation of the church and Paul and Apollos were building upon it by discipling the churches, however Paul was concerned that due to their divisiveness (1 Cor 3:1-5) he would lose rewards. In essence his work of building the Corinth church would be worthless as wood, hay, and stubble but his soul would be saved yet so as by fire because discipleship is not a salvific issue, on the disciple's part anyway.
1 Cor 3:6-11
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. Paul and Apollos' labour was planting and watering by spreading the gospel and watching over the growth of the church in Corinth but it is God that convicts, transforms, and sustains the soul.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. It is God that saves.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. Even though Paul and Apollos had a common goal, they will each receive rewards based on how effort they put into it. Rewards will be allotted according to their labour of planting and watering.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. We are working with God to further of His kingdom.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Therefore it is evident that the overall context of 1 Cor 3 is soul winning. So bringing this passage into application, if a believer wins a soul for the Lord and the soul remains (the work is likened to precious stones) they will receive rewards however if that soul departs from the faith, the believer will lose rewards for that work (likened to wood, hay, and stubble) but not their salvation as they played their part in preaching the truth, praying, and offering encouragements to that soul.
Those who use 1 Cor 3:11-15 to support the notion that believers just lose rewards for living in ungodliness are in error as that idea doesn't jive with the scriptures at all i.e. 1 Cor 6:9-10 and Gal 5:19-21. Verse 21 clearly states that they which do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. The "they" is referring to anyone whether they were once saved or never saved, for God is no respecter of persons.
I hope that makes sense.
If that's the case then why does the bible have warning passages such as Rev 2:7, 11? Are they to be ignored? Don't you think it's important to warn believers about the dangers of backsliding and apostatising?
The Romans 7 wretch does not depict a regenerated life.
