But no intelligent men... No men without bias for their own personal agenda...
????

What are you talking about? The Founding Fathers were very wise men. They risked their lives and properties for the right freedoms. Read the 4 documents that our country was founded on. And they all were God-believers and Bible believers. President Bill Clinton forced the United History textbook publishers to rewrite history by getting rid of almost all references to religious beliefs and good things of and about the Founding Fathers and the previous Presidents. I wrote United States History curriculum but with Holy Spirit in a Providential way instead of humanistic way. The latter is what we were taught, mainly just emphasizing famous leaders and important dates. But I discovered who I was told were heroes were actually bums from God's perspective and vice versa.

Some of the Bad Sides of Colonel Custer

(by William L. Stevenson)

In his last years on this Earth, Colonel George Armstrong Custer made decisions which cost the lives of a lot of people including his own. He was considered a good fighter and military leader. He was a "ladies man" and he was even being considered as a Vice-Presidential candidate.

After the Civil War, many Union soldiers decided to continue in the military way of life by transferring West. Generals Sherman and Sheridan became major leaders in wars against the Indian tribes. In a letter to his brother about the Sioux and Cheyennes, General Sherman said, "I suppose they must be exterminated." In 1866, he told President Grant, "We must act with vindictive earnestness against the Sioux, even to their extermination, men, women, and children." But President Grant felt sorry for the Indians and established reservations for them, so they would not be killed by the prejudiced white men. Also, General Sheridan concluded his involvement in fighting Indians with sympathy as the following quote indicates: "We took away their country, broke up their mode of living, their habits of life, introduced disease and decay among them, and it was for this and against this that they made war. Could anyone expect less?" Many of the 19th Century whites thought that Indians were dumb, untrustworthy, lazy, sub-human (or of the Devil), stubborn, and blood thirsty. But in truth, many of them had developed good farming and house building techniques and they believed in God as "the Wise One Above" and "the Everywhere Spirit".

Many soldiers were much more barbaric than the Indians, especially in the 1864 San Hill massacre and butchery of about 500 Cheyennes under the white flag of truce. Chief Black Kettle survived and still did all he could to establish peace until he was killed in the 1868 surprise, unprovoked attack by Custer and the U. S. 7th Calgary. In 1875, the Black Hills gold rush occurred. Col. Custer encouraged prospectors to come into this land considered sacred by the Indians. This angered Chief Crazy Horse and many of the Indians of the Dakotas enough to refuse to return to the reservation. In June of 1876, General Terry ordered Col. Custer to exercise caution in. But Custer split his soldiers up into three groups for three locations and commanded them to attack. He was probably hoping that the Indians would retreat from the direct confrontation as they did in the past. Not only did Custer disobey orders of his commanding officer, but he refused to believe or heed to the warnings of his Indian scouts. They told him that there were too many warriors for the available ammunition and that he should attack at night if he still wanted to do so. He could have waited two days and General Terry's troops would have been there. Finally, he had refused to bring two available Gatling machine guns along because they would slow him down. The democratic Convention was scheduled for the following week and Custer apparently wanted to be come a hero and then a Vice-Presidential nominee. To other unusual things about this campaign of Custer's were that he had a newspaper reporter along and he had his famous long hair cut. Over 200 soldiers, including Col. Custer were massacred. The Indians did respect the latter as a brave soldier and did not mutilate his body at all.

But George Armstrong Custer was not the only individual that had an ego or pride problem which critically affected others. History is full of these type of leaders at all levels. Power indeed can corrupt and will whenever God is not put first. We all have a human nature ego or pride problem and it can only be controlled if we each are properly seeking God's Will. Also, the Bible says in many places that God has ordained or allowed our leaders to come to power in our various organizations (government, business, education institutions, churches, and families) and we are to pray for and obey as long we are not asked or commanded to do anything against God's rules.

The Good Sides Of Ulysses S. Grant

In the book The American Nation, it was stated that some people believed that "To doubt Grant is to doubt Christ." The election results showed that President Grant was still highly respected for his Civil War leadership, since he won in all but six states (which were all south of the Mason-Dixon line). By July 4, 1876, the United States of America had become the world's largest supplier of food and leading industrial power. No other country had progressed so much in one hundred years!

President Grant has been greatly condemned by many for apparent weaknesses in integrity. I only remembered being told of his sloppy way of wearing his army uniform and his drinking problem. But I learned the following facts in 1983: Grant stopped drinking alcohol by the time he became President and he also helped organize a lodge of the Sons of Temperance! He also learned to wear his clothes better. Also, contrary to popular opinion, he never swore and didn't like off-color jokes. He also tried his best to help the American Indians. He kept his promise to the South's General Lee by persuading the United States Congress not to punish him.

President Grant and his Cabinet attended one of Dwight L. Moody's 1875 Philadelphia revival meetings. Also, old "Uncle John" Vassar (another evangelist of that age) met with President Grant. After the formal salutations, Mr. Vassar would not let go of the President's hand until he had told him of the Lord Jesus Christ and courteously asked him about his "new birth" experience.

Mr. Grant shared the following challenge in a Sunday school publication: "Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet anchor of your liberties; write its precepts on your hearts and practice them in your lives. To the influence of this Book we are indebted for the progress made in civilization, and this we must look as our guide in the future."

After his Presidency, he failed in business. (Back then they did not have pensions for former political office holders to retire on.) But General Lee advised him to write his personal memoirs. Grant did so while he was dying of cancer in 1885. Grant struggled in this writing hoping that the royalties from the publisher would provide for his family after his death. They did for over 10 years. On July 2, 1885, he wrote a letter which included the following statement: "If it is within God's providence that I should go now, I am ready to obey His call without a murmur."

Right after he died, a note with a locket containing a strand of his wife's hair was found in his robe. The note said: "Look after our dear children and direct them in the paths of rectitude. It would distress me far more that one of them could depart an honorable, upright, and virtuous life than it would know that they were prostrated on a bed of sickness from which they would never rise again.... I bid you a final fond farewell until we meet in another and, I trust, a better world."

Ulysses S. Grant was spiritually concerned even though he had shortcomings and worldly failures. God loves all believers and this divine love is not based on success in the secular world. If we believe and love God, we will be careful how we view other people.

Conclusion for this report: (1) Don't be quick to judge others negatively no matter who tells you or where you read about them. (2) Be careful who you praise and who you follow. (3) Learn from your history, especially from yours or others' mistakes. (4) Try to produce the best history you can, full of properly benefiting others.

Dr. Fair, who had his doctorate degree in US History, was shocked by that essay. But my references made him speechless.

And they did all of this in the Name of God Bill....
Yes they did. Are you denying that fact? They were not perfect Christians, but they were more knowledgeable of the Bible and history than most current Christian church attendees and even more than most pastors. God in His involvement in United States has been wonderful. That increased my love for Him as I studied such, even in my childhood when I read the Landmark series.

How Did the Glorious Revolution in England Affect the ...
historyofmassachusetts.org/how-did-glorious-revolution-affect-colonies
What Was the Glorious Revolution? The Glorious Revolution, also called the Revolution of 1688, occurred after William of Orange invaded England in November of 1688, pressuring James II to abdicate the throne of England to James II’s daughter Mary, the heir presumptive.

And for more info about England:

I was creating a "But God" Bible study tool today and formatted the following:

1 Corinthians 12:20-27
20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.
21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."
22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor;
and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty,
24 but our presentable parts have no need.
But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it,
25 that there should be no schism in the body,
but that the members should have the same care for one another.
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it;
or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

When was the last time you read the constitution star??? We live in a Democratic society.. The republic ended with the Greeks...LOL...
Actually I am taking my 2nd course on the Constitution of the USA. Our government is a Republic. I offer back to you the same suggestion of studying that wonderful document which decided how our government(s) would be run. The Republic did not end with the Greeks. We vote for our Republic through a democratic process. The course I'm taking is awesome and you may want to "brush up" on your knowledge.

Who are you to sit in judgment of another human beings sins? If you are like me, you have enough of your own to keep up with. How about your democratic presidents who had sex with others IN the White House as well as anywhere else they chose. Please allow God to decide about individual's sins.

This judgmental claim is like the pot calling the kettle black, especially considering the current Pope is about as much a heretic as any pope in history. Many American Catholics would like to see him removed from his position. Personally, I would like American Catholics to remove themselves from the blasphemous Roman Catholic Church forever, especially if the really want to get into Heaven in the afterlife.

The Roman Catholic Church is a cult

15 Important Bible Verses About Praying To Saints - Bible Reasons
https://biblereasons.com/praying-to-saints/
Getting to heaven is not a matter of what church one attends but rather they have contritely confessed their sins to Jesus who shed His blood and died on the cross for the remission of these sins and allowed the Holy Spirit to live in their heart to comfort and guide them in the repentance process which in itself is a lifelong journey. There are many other countries that have Catholics as well as America and I presume that you want them to go to heaven as well. If the Catholic church is a cult, and as a former Catholic I certainly don't believe that to be true than all churches are cults because none of them are perfect spiritually in all points of their doctrine and practices. Attending church of any denomination will not get one to heaven or prevent them from going there because it is not a matter of salvation.

And my history teachings cannot be rightly refuted. And the Bible commands us to pray for the kings (and Presidents). It was hard for me to pray for even the 3 before President Trump, but I prayed for them and their advisors daily that they would become sensitive to the Holy Spirit's convictions. But those three had many failures and only kept a few of their promises. They showed that they had not learned from the United States history.
