let's hope and pray that this works out and the war and killing get stopped.
Even if it does work out there will still be alot of work to do. The effort of a real peace and not just a BS peace while less costly than war is still a mighty effort just like war, it takes much power of spiritual and secular forces to come together, high intelligence and real leadership. Praise Jesus for even just the opportunity in the first place, and really even moreso after Zelensky blew it hard and almost totally bungled the whole thing, getting a second chance then was even harder and more rare, so even just to get to this point now is a longshot miracle in itself, praise Jesus. Though Trump is a major player in this, now we see the diplomacy ball go into the court of Putin and Russia and while they have been pretty compliant so far, this is really going to be the test to see if a peace deal or even just the possibility of negotiations is feasible. Praise Jesus for these are blessings, but one does have to make the most of the blessings, can't take them for granted, but if we do take hold of the blessings and utilize them well Jesus will bless more, he will make a way through even seemingly impossible situations, praise Jesus.

It would help if Mr Trump, JD Vance and co spoke the truth. Mr Zelensky was wrong. Perhaps the strain of defending a small country against the lies of the Trump administration, world indifference and Russia's illegal war is getting to him.

I don't know how a world leader can lie with such impunity. Mr Zelensky's approval rating was 50% when Mr Trump said that it was 4%. Mr Zelensky is no more a dictator than any war time leader. At least he was fairly elected, At leas the result was not known before the polls closed, unlike Mr Putin's phony elections.

Mr Trump's accusations are absurd. His group of "yes men" are hand picked to support him. Some are saying that Mr Trump is working for the Russians. I doubt it, but he could not be doing a better job if he was on Putin's payroll.

I would highly disagree. Turmp's performance on this issue has been astounding, the likewise surprise of just the opportunity of the diplomacy to happen up to this point is a miracle itself. Also both JD Vance and Marco Rubio have both shined exceedingly on this issue. Genuine talent for the successor plotline, not yes men, but already for their respective offices they're set to be legendary figures.

Zelensky is not an elected leader, his term expired and he suspended elections under the pretense of martial law. Ukraine as a country has had a curse on its last heads of state. Yanukovych fled the country into exile to Russia, thus the regions he was from and that favored him broke away from Ukraine so begun the pre-war war. Poroshenko then led the war to try to reclaim these regions, but his own people turned on him for corruption and put him in prison. Enter Zelensky whom when he was elected tried at first to be friendly with Russia, but for his continued fighting in Crimea and Donetsk and Luhansk the Russians decided to directly intervene. Under this pretense then Zelensky suspends elections and makes other pretty dodgy moves like shunting his political opponents and even high profile members of the military to the side or worse. For Russia a regime change would be a way to satisfy their war goals and make them more inclined to sign unto a longer lasting peace treaty therefore do the opponents of Russia not want to give them the satisfaction, but yet this would be a chip in Ukraine's favor. This can be done also in a way where one doesn't have to be for or against Russia to support this since we have people like Zaluzhnyi that could easily take Zelensky's place. Zaluzhnyi has been sidelined and shunted to the side by Zelensky so it would be poetic to overturn him with Zaluzhnyi, but even besides just rich storyline, really just practically you're in a war against a bigger country, I think having your leader be the guy that is the only general score Ws and take major cities from Putin rather than the comedian whom has been spoiled rotten and is now at the rotting part. In the best scenario this then would be good positioning for Ukraine after the ceasefire, if peace is pursued and achieved then Zaluzhnyi represents the people that fought the war for Ukraine and can be an Eisenhower type great leader potential for peace and rebuilding. If war resumes, well, you have to your benefit as your leader the current ranking best general to fight Putin and a fresh shot to get America on your side.

Really if Russia accepts the 30 day ceasefire, and that's an extremely big IF after all the weakness that Zelensky showed and how he jeopardized the peace talks to begin with, the best course of action is to try to negotiate an extension of the ceasefire that Ukraine might hold elections. We shall see though if the parties involved see this potential, or if they don't, it's all up in the air now. Praise Jesus though the narrow path to peace is still on the table and that we have come this far this fast is a miracle.

Some thoughts from Rubio after the meeting in Saudi Arabia with the Ukraine delegation. I notice Rubio has been big on doing this sort of post-State Department event press conference and I like it alot. Rubio is already on track to be the most consequential Secretary of State since Henry Kissinger at the rate he is going, and in the wider politics this budding success and term makes him a true top tier pick for potential Successors to Trump and perhaps a consequential President in the future. While the libs have fantasies over Elon Musk, really the keen eyed eagle notices that Trump really keeps Rubio most close, even often at his literal right hand.

There are no elections possible in a war!
Putin is interest to get whole ucraine over short or long. So whoever trust him, is betrayed.

Then it ought to be easy to get Putin in theory to agree to the one month ceasefire and perhaps extend the ceasefire to six months for Ukraine to hold elections. But now we're getting ahead of ourselves, praise Jesus we have a good shot right now for a 30 day ceasefire, or elsewise to vindicate Russia's true intentions and take appropriate measures. We shall see, but we hope the path of peace via diplomacy is continued, this is a second chance.
