Don't worry, he'll soon be an out of control partying coke addict, crashing his expensive cars, getting arrested for dui and being admitted to rehab so he can "get his life back" just like the rest of them.
Anyone wanna guess how long that will take? I give him 2 years max before it all starts to spiral downhill.
Well, although this seems to be the so-called "norm" with celebrities... I always hope there will be a few out there whom we can actually respect as people, even if they're not Christians.
The Bible tells us to edify and lift people up and treat them in love, and that love will hope for the best for others...
This might sound crazy, but I regularly pray for various celebs I see on TV and the magazines. I always hope that maybe some big-name star will come to Christ and lead others to Him as well.
My church recently hosted Brian Head Welch from Korn--so many people came to see him that they had to add an extra service and there was tight security, including the local police (but everything went incredibly smoothly with no altercations at all.)
It was so cool--Brian was VERY open about his life--the partying, drugs, money... and was very down-to-earth, but said that like Solomon, he found it was all meaningless without God. SEVERAL people came to the altar to receive Christ and 90% of the them were kids, teens, and young people. He told them not to be afraid, that he was afraid too at first because when he came to God, he was a drug addict, but he kept telling them, "I know what you're feeling, and it's God... come on up, don't be scared..." and he prayed for everyone who came to the altar call.
It was awesome to watch God move through him, and after each service, Brian stayed around to talk with anyone who wanted to see him (there was a huge crowd of kids waiting for him after each service) and stayed there for as long as people wanted to talk, signing autographs and encouraging them in their faith.
Not every celebrity is a hopeless case! Some are in that position because God plans to use them.
