You know what else the Bible doesn't say? That you saved yourself through your own will, desire, effort, or choice.
I wonder why you deliberately keep ignoring verses that explicitly say what you keep denying.
1 Corinthians 4:7b; John 3:27; Romans 9:15-16 What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did also receive it, why do you boast as not having received it? John replied, "A man can receive only that which is given him from heaven." "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." If they chose either life or death , are they rejecting Gods Will and applying thier own ? Or did he express his Will to them and then they are given the choice ?
to hear what God said will save our souls. And believe we’re supposed to do that isn’t rejecting his Will and applying our own claiming we’ve saved ourselves what saves is to hear his Will and choose the promise of life he offers

What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved and all your household. He wasn't told you don't have to do anything , if God chose you, you're already saved.
