Surely Jesus wouldnt email back
John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Anyway, if I offended anyone who takes these things seriously I apollogize being almost 50 years old and others my age and much older grew up in a generation who didnt click things like they do today.
I would have thought the young adults (like those in the teens forums ) would be those who might give these toys a tad more weight then some of the older here ( realizing our youth has grown up on all things cyber).
Virtual verses actual friends
A virtual can be an actual friend , and an actual friend a virtual one as well.
What counts is that a freind is an "actual" (not that they are a virtually acknowledged friend)
A virtual (only) friend will never be there (in other ways) for you when you (actually) need them.
At least no more then just words.
But if your virtuals are all there when you need (and you them) thats great, lucky you (especially if it goes both ways between you) you are blessed. Rejoice in the friendship, not in the abused cyber friend feature (because that matters nothing between actual friends anyway)
I am honesty an shocked anyone takes the invite features seriously
There are so many postings and youtube videos that seem to be right on about the whole freinds walls at facebook, the abuse of the same, the walls of strangers pretending to be freinds, the crocodile tears over giving it any merit, the how to videos on get so many friend invites in a day, friend collectors, people boo hooing over the ridiculous in realition to the same. I wouldnt know personally because I dont have a facebook account I never made one because I didnt trust doing that for some reason.
So to anyone who takes these features seriously I do apologize if I have offended
