Uprooted and transplanted... this is the vision which I awake to on this rainy wet July morning.
John
3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Our souls are no more independent after our first birth than before it. We must arrive at and humbly confess to this universal truth before we can be planted into that rich soil prepared for us by our loving and kind Maker.
We need to be transplanted else we shall surely perish in short order. A plant cannot survive for long once uprooted and left to bake out in the sun. It may feel momentary warmth from the hot sun, but it was not created to exist in this state for long. Not since what happened in that first garden so long ago.
We must choose to allow the wise Maker to plant us into the Body that His Son provided for us when Jesus gave His life blood for us on the Cross. We do indeed need to go back into a womb of sorts in order to be birthed into our new creaturehood and then on into our new glorious bodies on that rapidly approaching Day of our Lords return.
Humble yourselves and allow your loving Father to transplant you into that immoveable and nourishing soil of Salvation today.
