Rejections that sting from the past..
They do not need to last

Yesterday's sorrows...
don't need to penetrate into all our tomorrows

Mistakes and choices left so much pain and regret...
The lessons learned are best sustained, but the guilty verdict we can forget.

Take time to lament…
quiet surrender, repentance and prayer can ease the ache of remorse like cement.

Then lift the hands so high, rejoice in freedom's reward...
the damage if sin has been cured.

The Lord's work was never in vain...
He has broken all the chains

Wait no...don't look back, not with feelings that leave only a victim…
not when the battle was won, victory was found in Him.

We are so blessed, so divinely cleaned…
The least we can do is shine His light with gratitude and gleam, so brightly sheened.

Yes yes yes, thank you for the verses

Philippians 4:13-14 “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Luke 9:62 “Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19 ESV
"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
