I’ve been in many relationships that always ended up in the toilet.
I got married at 20 to a guy I met on eharmony. I thought we were great together at first until I saw his true colors 2 years into our marriage. We divorced after 5 years together and I saw that he remarried 4 months after our divorce. Just recently I was dumped by my fiance whom I loved more than anything in this world. I was so hurt because we spent 5 years together as well. I wanted to do Bible study with him everyday, and pray over our life together. I tried leading him back to Jesus when he would get in his head and I would remind him who he was created for. We were unequally yoked. One month after he left, he got with someone else and they immediately slept together, which ruined me even more. I prayed for him daily and I still pray for him to this day.
Satan tells me lies by saying I have a pattern of being with a man for 5 years and I’ll never find the man I’m destined to have.
I always remind myself that God is in control and that I need to hold onto my faith.
I know that God has a man out there for me. I’m in His Word every day, praying hard for the man he has for me, and thanking him for the man he made.
I pray that my future husband chases after God to find me!
My mother says “wait on God and let one in our church find you.”
Sometimes trusting God and waiting on his timing is easier said than done. Patience is one of the fruits of the spirit and I’m terrible at being patient. I’m not saying I don’t trust him, I do trust in him and his timing. It’s just hard sometimes, and I’ve been lonely.
I always ask God, “When is he coming, Lord? Have I met him before? Is he just around the corner? Will he actually find me beautiful even with my tattoos and other flaws?”
His answer: “Just wait, my daughter. Your time is coming.”
