Hey! Have had contact with someone from the good side in the spiritual for 8 years. Was recommended not to eat meat and been vegetarian since then.
Recently i have asked if i should warn people of eating meat. The answer is yes..each time.

I see no point in eating killed innocent animals. We do not need meat. There are many alternatives.
The risk is way to high. Perhaps its a conspiracy to destroy humanity.
You are free to eat whatever you like and for any legitimate reason. However here in the UK
there appears to be some kind of fanatical movement to make everyone not only vegetarian
but vegan. We have a ridiculous situation where people are buying burgers and sausages that
are made to look like meat but are 100% vegetarian. I wonder what reaction I would get if I went to a Fruit and Veg store and asked them to make my salad look like a steak,

Below is an excerpt from this page which is quite a comprehensive accounting of the history of meat alternatives :)

2014 – Current status of meat alternatives in the USA.
Total retail sales for the 12 months ending 1 Jan. 2014, both refrigerated and frozen, both
Natural foods and mainstream supermarkets: $620 million, Source: SPINS and AC Neilsen (IRI).

The leading 5 brands (by dollar volume) across frozen and refrigerated meat alternatives are:

Morningstar Farms (owned by The Kellogg Co.) ….…… 52.0%
Gardein (owned by Pinnacle Foods) ……………....…...…… 7.5%
Boca Foods (owned by Kraft Foods) …………….....……….. 7.4%
Lightlife (owned by Brynwood Foods via ConAgra),…. 6.9%
Tofurky (independent)………………………………….............…. 5.3%

Seth Tibbott of Tofurky estimates that the frozen category of meat
alternatives is about 3 times the size of the refrigerated category.

Update on Tofurky:
Tofurky Company total sales in 2014: $31 million.
Total Tofurky roasts sold in 2014 projected: 360,000.
Total Tofurky roasts sold since 1995: 3.84 million.

I have been a vegetarian for many years. And have not "missed meat" at all.

Fine. I am 70. I can't think of a day that I've gone without meat, apart from fasting. For Christians, it's a non issue.

It's funny how the rise of vegan/vegetarian/animal welfare more important than human coincides with the decline of Christian values and influence. It's influenced by Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist religions. It is not of God.

It's a part of the attempt to undermine all that is Christian. People love to have a stick to beat others with. The arrogance of vegans is matched only by their ignorance.

There would only be 3 reasons I would stop eating meat:

1. The animals are suddenly smarter than I am
2. They can outrun a bullet/arrow.
3. They suddenly stop being delicious.

Meh. I would still eat intelligent animals.

Have you read any of the Hitchhiker books by Douglas Adams? At the Restaurant at the End of the Universe we have an amusing account of a sentient bovine offering himself as a meal:

"A large dairy animal approached Zaphod Beeblebrox's table, a large fat meaty quadruped of the bovine type with large watery eyes, small horns and what might almost have been an ingratiating smile on its lips.

"Good evening," it lowed and sat back heavily on its haunches, "I am the main Dish of the Day. May I interest you in the parts of my body?"

It harrumphed and gurgled a bit, wriggled its hind quarters in to a more comfortable position and gazed peacefully at them.

Its gaze was met by looks of startled bewilderment from Arthur and Trillian, a resigned shrug from Ford Prefect and naked hunger from Zaphod Beeblebrox.

"Something off the shoulder perhaps?" suggested the animal, "braised in a white wine sauce?"

"Er, your shoulder?" said Arthur in a horrified whisper.

"But naturally my shoulder, sir," mooed the animal contentedly, "nobody else's is mine to offer."

Zaphod leapt to his feet and started prodding and feeling the animal's shoulder appreciatively.

"Or the rump is very good," murmured the animal. "I've been exercising it and eating plenty of grain, so there's a lot of good meat there."

It gave a mellow grunt, gurgled again and started to chew the cud. It swallowed the cud again.

"Or a casserole of me perhaps?" it added.

"You mean this animal actually wants us to eat it?" whispered Trillian to Ford.

"Me?" said Ford, with a glazed look in his eyes, "I don't mean anything."

"That's absolutely horrible," exclaimed Arthur, "the most revolting thing I've ever heard."

"What's the problem Earthman?" said Zaphod, now transferring his attention to the animal's enormous rump.

"I just don't want to eat an animal that's standing there inviting me to," said Arthur, "It's heartless."

"Better than eating an animal that doesn't want to be eaten," said Zaphod.

"That's not the point," Arthur protested. Then he thought about it for a moment. "Alright," he said, "maybe it is the point. I don't care, I'm not going to think about it now. I'll just... er [...] I think I'll just have a green salad," he muttered.

"May I urge you to consider my liver?" asked the animal, "it must be very rich and tender by now, I've been force-feeding myself for months."

"A green salad," said Arthur emphatically.

"A green salad?" said the animal, rolling his eyes disapprovingly at Arthur.

"Are you going to tell me," said Arthur, "that I shouldn't have green salad?"

"Well," said the animal, "I know many vegetables that are very clear on that point. Which is why it was eventually decided to cut through the whole tangled problem and breed an animal that actually wanted to be eaten and was capable of saying so clearly and distinctly. And here I am."

It managed a very slight bow.

"Glass of water please," said Arthur.

"Look," said Zaphod, "we want to eat, we don't want to make a meal of the issues. Four rare stakes please, and hurry. We haven't eaten in five hundred and seventy-six thousand million years."

The animal staggered to its feet. It gave a mellow gurgle. "A very wise choice, sir, if I may say so. Very good," it said, "I'll just nip off and shoot myself."

He turned and gave a friendly wink to Arthur. "Don't worry, sir," he said, "I'll be very humane."

It waddled unhurriedly off to the kitchen.

All I will say is.. that is not what the word of God says about eating meat :)

Just to touch on. "dimensions". I think some get stuck on the word itself. We know GOD Christ can just show up and vanish. Some would say its a different dimension. Those angels are around us right now.

Then please explain what contradicts the Bible.
1 Tim:4:3 "Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirts, and doctrines of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meets, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. Please from now on search the scriptures for answers and not from people.

Yes, God created us to be vegetarians. Adam and Eve did not need to cultivate crops, fruit was sufficient. However, after Adam fell, our metabolism changed. Jesus ate fish, almost certainly ate lamb and said nothing about not eating meat.
I want to challenge that statement. What about the Passover lamb? Everyone in Israel was commanded to eat a portion of it. (See Exodus 12:47-49.) 4-scratch-chin.gif

Many will continue to higher dimensions soon. Heaven you may call it. When that happens our compassion and awareness increase very much. My spiritual contact helped me to experience that and i cried and cried and cried. You really really do not want to have innocent animals death and suffering on your conscience then. It may not be "punished" but you may hurt yourself. Do not do that to yourself!!

Think like this: How will you feel about yourself if in heaven you understand that those animals are forever gone? If there is no chance to get them back and to say i am sorry.
:confused:It may stop your spiritual progress because you may not be able to handle those emotions.

Instead spend the rest of your time here to preach compassion for animals. You will help others AND yourself. I think that is one big reason my contact is telling me to tell you since i used to hurt animals.

Again try to think risk vs reward like a poker player. Meat eating means BIG spiritual risk and very very little theoretical reward. Can you at least agree with that? Hope to see you in heaven.
Higher dimensions? That is 100% new-age nonsense. It is not in the least bit Christian.

The fact that you used to hurt animals says a lot about you. You SHOULD feel absolutely guilty and horrible about that.
