why would Jesus, sent to free the world and gather people for God, allow so many people to just leave because of a misunderstanding?

Catholicism can be considered as a false religion, because...
They consider Mary the mediator between Jesus and Human kind. Well obviously, that's is not found in the bible. They believed in 'Purgatories' (a situation of temporary suffering or torment). Which is apparently, not in the bible. And another thing, they added books in the bible.

When Protestants of the reformation traditions use the term "means of grace" they mean those things God has specifically established which he provides grace through.
These are God given rites that we believe help to sustain and empower the Christian life. I'd say baptism, communion and confession are sacraments, but some exclude confession.

They actually didn't add books to the Bible.
In time, the church had books added into it. No one really knows how it happened.. but it did. When they found out that they hadn't been in the original scriptures, many denominations took them out again. Catholics didn't. There's a big long story about this, I'm not going to get into..but they didn't one day decide to add books to the Bible.

When Jesus was speaking parables why didn't he stop to explain them to everyone instead of explaining them to his inner group of disciples?

Baptism is a step of obedience after salvation, and communion is a remembrance of Christ's death for our sin. I'm not seeing out those are means of grace, show me in the Scriptures where they are if you would.

Catholics add the non canonical apocrypha to their editions of the Bible. And they view these books as authoritative. So yes they do add books to the Bible.

There's nothing in the scripture that said anything against them? This is like.. before the New Testament times. They didn't remove them, probably because they figured if they were in there, they were in there for a reason. I'm not really sure.
I might add, these books were also in protestant bibles, even the first edition of the KJV. Not as scripture though, but for historical significance. So these books were not added , they were in fact taken out in later revisions.

Protestants don't see them as authoritative, Catholics do. So as I said, they are added to the canon.

The trinity is not false doctrine and neither is once saved always saved. The trinity is Biblical.

Because these existed as Scripture before the New Testament. Therefore, it's not likely that the New Testament would be pertaining to them. The New Testament said that we must believe Jesus died for us in order to be saved.. but Moses didn't have to believe that in order to be saved. It's even argued that Jesus would have known these books. I'm not really sure there's any evidence to back that part up, however.

I want to reiterate the REASON why I wrote this topic.....First of all, I do not feel "a high" or a sense of "righteousness" by exposing Catholicism....I ache and pain for those that are being led into a prison house of religion. It grieves me to have to come down hard on the Catholic beliefs in this post. I pray for those that believe that works of righteousness will save them, when the Word clearly says otherwise.
This topic was directed towards, the Christian community(ie:CC), and I would NEVER outright tell a Catholic that their religion was satanic, I would love them and show them the truth in love.....I think some are missing the intended AUDIENCE involved here....I am speaking to this CC community(I am not necessarily saying that ALL Catholics are not saved either, but only those that believe good works will save them)
I know some professed Catholics who actually say to me that works do not save and only faith in Christ does! Even though they may affiliate with Catholicism(which I believe is a mistake on their part) I believe that they are saved! But I have to tell it like it is within this Christian community...If I see the devil at work in ANY belief system(even working within the Christian church) I am persuaded to expose it!
I absolutely do not approve of ANY comments on here that act condescending to Catholics. But, there will always be some that get offended anyways......Remember Jesus? He offended MANY people on his teachings and was put to death! He did His ministry the PERFECT way and offended others.....But He also saved multitudes in his ministry too!
The point is, that if I exposed catholicism FACE OT FACE with a catholic I would use a different approach than I used on this thread...(although this thread is more stern, I did write it with the idea that I was against the BELIEFS of Catholics, NOT attacking Catholics!)
