You are wrong my friend. We are not exempted from keeping all of the laws. There are some laws, such as the 10 commandments for example, that are still in effect.
If what you say is true, then is it ok to steal, covet, kill?
Your reasoning does not harmonize with the teachings of Jesus.
define what the law is. would the full law come with 10 commands or the rest of the degrees added from try to understand what the 10 commands were saying. so in short, the nuts and bolts of the law are the 10 commandment.
also when adding the temple of stone the requirement of the law were used to follow the law ie animal for forgivness, etc
when jesus saved them under the nuts and bolts of law. how can you use the law as a guide, if jesus was the only person to follow it fully.
The Golden Rule
12 "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.Matthew 7
Galatians 3: By Faith, or by Works of the Law?
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified.2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?4 Did you suffer so many things in vain---if indeed it was in vain?5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith---6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness"?
just like abraham , jews and gentiles who believe in jesus christ
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.1
18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance?
no problem, that s why i quoted the scripture, so you could look it up, and test the meaning of the scripture for your self.Nevermind. I'm still not sure what you are saying.
Concerning John 14:15 I have met personally no Christian of any denomination who has tried to obey each and every command of Christ written in the Gospels. I like the way Paul puts it:
Carry each others burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ. Gal 6:2
First, it's Isaac, not Issac. I know because it's my name as well. Second, Isaac came well before the ten commandments.
Intentionally lawless?
Abrahams faith was credited to him as righteousness(Genesis 15:6) as is the Christians faith today credited to them as righteousness before God.
The problem is, many churches, in effect preach, saved by grace(through faith) kept by works of the law. That message contradicts Paul's Gospel, and leaves the convert striving for acceptance by their own personal goodness under the law. Satan is not stupid, he knows he cannot convince people Jesus did not die on the cross if they have accepted him as their Saviour, so he does the next best thing, he robs them of grace, the true power of the Christian to grow in holiness
Would you let someone into your church who passed his wife off as his sister to gain favour of someone?
Then after lying he allowed his wife to be taken by another to be his wife. And instead of at that point admitting his dishonesty he accepted gifts from his wifes suitor.
My guess is you would hurl your accusations at such a person and say they were condemned due to disobeying God's commands
