I am not trying to tell you that what you know of the Lord is wrong, but it is as if you learn of God just so much and then something in you says STOP, that you refuse to go beyond what you learned.

You cannot trust yourself to be perfect, to know perfect. Christ is in you, but you are of the flesh. Even Paul said it of himself, and Paul can be trusted all the way to only report what God put in him.

If you read scripture without Christ in you, you would not be able to understand scripture. It is through Christ that you are who you are. You understand that, you have grown mightily. Now, you must not stop yourself from taking the next step. That step is to be able to humble even that knowledge of Christ within you, and be able to go to what is even called the law that people are cringing from and check the Christ within you to be sure it is truly Christ.

I agree and I believe we should do that, but I view this site different, I view this site as a place where followers/believers in Christ come to fellowship, learn and edify one another, among many other things, so there has to be order and harmony among us, we have to be on one accord in order to walk together, and we should because we all should be reading and agreeing with the same inspired word of God

Where I stand: die to the flesh as a means of obtaining righteousness. Become alive to my spirit, seeing that the flesh minds the things of the flesh and the spirit minds the things of the Spirit. My righteousness (justification from damnation) is found in the confidence I place in the Son of the Living God when He said that He is my Deliverer (from that condemnation). No! The Law cannot deliver me from its adverse sentencing of death. My deeds of the Law cannot save me. I trust the Deliverer for my salvation.

What I stand on: My faith, which is defined as "confidence', is in the Christ and not my fleshly deeds. My faith is not dead because I follow the One leading me Home. Indeed, I follow the Shepherd and not the Law to lead me to the Father.

lol, i guess you are new here, this has been done many times but guess what? 3 more sabbath threads a day some people's pride has completely blinded them to the truth, i've made a few threads proposing the same thing you just stated but i guess they are afraid to come forward because the truth is presented of what we must do... but they still don't accept it

I see well Gb2God for you and your efforts to present the truth! God bless you! Let us be encouraged about receiving truth! If we want to please our father but come to realize how we've been doing it is wrong and infact displeases him(like cain and abel) let us not rebel against our God but conform to him! its okay if we were wrong in our thinking or believing because iron sharpened iron and this is why we fellowship to get rid of the faulty thinking we may have. What matters is for us to be guided by the Spirit of truth which will lead us alll to truth and understanding, and we shouldnt bash people because they don't agree with us! If what we know is truth we should be praying for them and laboring for them because thier soul salvation is at stake! give no lead way to the enemy! we have to stay sober minded and vigilant

If you read this verse in proper context, you would know that Paul and his companions went there not to keep the Sabbath but to witness to the Jews about how Jesus is the Messiah. Nine of the ten commandments are repeated in the new testament but the commandment to keep the Sabbath is not found in the New testament.

I have some questions for you friend Okay so as I was reading where you stand, it sounds to me and please correct me if im wrong, but it seems you are talking about two different things? The question at hand, in my mind, is , is the Moral law of God still binding on us today, but it seems you are talking about the law being a way of salvation,.? is this correct or am I totally missing the mark here? lol

Every soul belongs to God to do according to His will. No one shall escape judgement.

Does God have pleasure in the death of the wicked ?

No. He has no pleasure in the death of anything. The pinnacle definition of 'evil' is 'harm/hurt'. Let us, therefore, love so that we do not do harm. If we love, even as He loved us on Earth, we do fulfill His will.
