now have a cat in the house, but....I am not opening any cat cafe. Those coffee machines are expensive and there is nowehere to put it. We just have a new kettle so if you want coffee it will have to be instant.

The cat doesnt drink coffee or milk she has been weaned.

Dusty's a great name for a cat! What lead you to pick that name? Does the coat look dusty? Maybe you can post a pic of it?

I don't currently have a cat. I've actually never had the opportunity to name a cat.

1. A cat café?? There's a place cats go to drink coffee??? That's all we need: hyped-up cats. Well, all we need is cats in any setting. (Yeah, I'm a cattist.)

I'd much prefer a zoo or aquarium.

2. Don't like sharing CDs. I'm real particular about maintaining the perfection of their optical surfaces, and some people seem to like using them for coasters. In fact, I'm always reluctant to share many of my things. Always concerned that I'll never get it back or that it'll come back in a degraded state.

3. Hmm... after the last answer, how do I answer this final question... Wow. I gotta think about this one!! Maybe a book I'd finished reading??

I'm happy to find other aquarium lovers here.

I love the zoo, but have always been especially fascinated by aquariums because of the animals living in completely different habitats than land animals. I love seeing God's creativity and how He designed so many living things to live in such unique environments.

I remember going to Chicago's Shedd Aquarium and seeing a Beluga whale for the first time.

How could anyone see one of these and not smile?!

Don't you wanna rub their smooth heads? Unfortunately, they never let me. They see my gigantic form coming at them and they dart away for dear life. It's lonely being an alpha predator.

Oh, quite right, you did, the cat dusts under you bed. I had gotten distracted between reading you post and making my post.

One of the banes of single life for me is the fact that many things are sold cheaper if bought in bulk, but I have neither the space nor the appetite to consume such large quantities of any item in short periods of time... so one thing I would love to share is the grocery bill and split the goods! I also want to know: who decided we have to buy so many grapes at a time? We used to be able to pick and choose the amount we wanted, but now they (and many other fresh food items) are sold in plastic containers, so you have to buy so many at once, and I can never eat them all before some of them have gone bad. Buying in small quantities is always much more expensive no matter the item. Except for maybe bananas! I buy them regularly. I am one of them who break bunches apart, to buy two or three at a time (but I also buy singles already separated as long as they are not all bruised up from being overly handled). Once while shopping with my daughter when she was small, she saw me about to break a bunch apart and exclaimed, "You can't do that!" I replied, "Sure I can... just watch me." Haha. And I am with you on the brussells sprouts .. They do seem a fixture for holiday feasts, though, so out of respect for the cook, I may put two on my plate, but out of respect for my palette, I may eat only one .

I'll take 'em! The unique flavor of a brussels sprout goes well with many embellishments, like ranch, cheese or curry.

Is it just me or is it really hard to actually have a normal conversation on the singles forum?

By normal, I mean, someone reads your posts and understands what you talking/writing about. And can actually answer your questions and posts a reply or response thats understandable.

Magenta, lets talk about greed.

I think the food companies want you to buy more because it makes them more money.

I once worked in retail, the boss wanted me to encourage customers to spend more by buying more but all it gave them was stuff they didnt need and had to give away. Of course the boss didnt want to keep stock for too long, cos it cost him.

In retail, there is a whole sector called FMCG which stands for 'fast moving consumer goods' . Also wholesalers buy in bulk, for much cheaper, and many big box stores esp warehouses and supermarkets do bulk buying and want customers to bulk buy too, hence places like costco.

Its pure greed. In the Bible it talks about the man who stored stuff in his barn and made even bigger barns. He didnt know his life would be taken at any point all he cared about was storing all his stuff.

I have normal conversations with people here on the forum all the time. They seem to not have much trouble understanding what I say and replying to it. They may not always agree with it, and I may not always agree with what they say, but we understand each other.
