Forgiving God doesn't have anything to do with God having sinned or done anything but love you. It is letting go of your unforgivenness toward God. Almost always when we have unforgiveness in us, it is directed at God for allowing something to happen to us. It sounds strange, but when someone says that to me, that is normally what it turns out to be...

I SPEAK TO HUNDREDS EVERY WEEK
ITS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BEING AN PASTOR
I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR MANY
TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH AND BE A LEADER
I AM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEM TO GOD

BUT
I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE
TELL THEM GOD IS NOT THEIR FRIEND
FOR GOD SAID HE WAS FRIENDS WITH ABRAHAM

YOUR JUST NOT RECOGNIZING
THAT BEING A FRIEND TO GOD IS A HIGHER HONOR THAN A CHILD OF A KING
WHY...?

Alrighty. I can agree with that. I still think God has to be King and Parent before He can be friend, but I get what you're saying.
