For a long time I have started my mornings off reciting and reflecting on Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Recently though, with all my battles and negative things/situations happening (personally in mine & my family's) life, it has been harder and harder for me to recite and stand on "rejoice and be glad in it", and I found myself just mumbling through the verse. Sort of just saying it out of habit and routine (sort of like the meal prayer that so many children learn in summer Bible camps and rush through saying, but has no substance/meaning to them, they rush/race through it just to say their meal prayer of "God is great, God is good. Now we thank Him for our food." )

So I got to wondering/thinking what are some morning verses that others start their days with?

Try reading a chapter or few every morning with your coffee, works well for me. ☕️ 📖 😁

Psalm 118;24, 34:1, 37:39, 27:14, 119:105, 16:11, 37:23, 51:10, 55:22, 2nd Chronicles 7:14, Deutronomy 6:5, Isaiah 40:31. there's more. a message of "lifting" of the spirit, something that makes you smile or renew confidence, of God's everlasting love are good ideas.

Ecclesiastes 7:10

Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

7:14

In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

7:18

It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.

this right here. you'd be surprised the encouragement the Lord will offer in just this right here.

i know GG may be pressed for time in the morning... i recall very well the days of homeschooling kiddos and the feeling there's just never enough time. she may alter this reading to evenings. then she can perhaps jot down the precious truth(s) and look them over next morning?

Though the fig tree does not bud
and no fruit is on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though the sheep are cut off from the fold
and no cattle are in the stalls,
yet I will exult in the LORD;
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!
GOD the Lord is my strength;
He makes my feet like those of a deer;
He makes me walk upon the heights! (Hab 3:17-19)

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Psalms 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

I am the righteousness of God in Christ 2 Cor 5:21.

Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

1 John 4:4 Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Ja 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Rom 8:
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Proverbs 4:
20 Attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

very nice Jaumej! the only fight you don't want to be in is with the devil. never fight him, resist him!!! James 4:7- "Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil & he will flee from you".

Spiritual Blessings In Christ

"Blessed be The God and Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, Who Hath
Blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as He Hath Chosen us In Him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him In Love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ
to Himself, According to The Good Pleasure of His Will, To The Praise Of
The Glory Of His Grace, Wherein He Hath Made us Accepted In The Beloved.
In Whom we Have Redemption Through His Blood, the forgiveness of
sins, according to The Riches of His Grace; Wherein He Hath Abounded
Toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Having Made Known Unto us The Mystery of His Will, According To
His Good Pleasure Which He Hath Purposed In Himself: That in the
dispensation of the fulness of times He Might Gather together in
one all things In Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are
on earth; even In Him:
In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated
According To The Purpose Of Him Who Worketh all things after The
Counsel Of His Own Will: That we Should Be To The Praise Of His
Glory, who first trusted In Christ.
In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard The Word Of Truth,
The Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed,
ye Were Sealed With That Holy Spirit Of Promise, Which Is The
Earnest of our inheritance until The Redemption Of The Purchased
Possession, Unto The Praise Of His Glory." (Ephesians 1:3-14)
Amen.

anything in the gospel that Jesus was teaching and saying is usually where I like to begin and end my reflection on scriptire because of the promises it holds specifically in those words

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

i want to live

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63, 68-69‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Want to be filled with the spirit and life and quickened by God

“Then spake Jesus again unto them,
saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

…Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:12, 31-32, 51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

i want the light of life , to know the truth and be set free to never see death

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

…He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6-7, 21, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I want what Jesus is preaching has about so I find that beginning and ending in his words tbat promise those things to believers is the place to grow in faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and the enduring quality of those promises they stand the test of time

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

…But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:23, 25‬ ‭

Won't dive in I like keeping to myself. I always as long as I can remember end the day with some scriptures I quote. I try to start by thanking Him I mean thanking Him for everything. This is as far as I go not here to puff my self up. Things I try to hold on to is to always remembering others my prayers "We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers. Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;" Myself striving for "without ceasing". Just me..
