You mean the Dexter Morgan in the tv series? That was my favorite show back in 2013. Didn't like the rebooted series but never really got past the first episode.
Yes ! He dies at the end of the reboot ! New Blood I think it's called . Started watching New Blood a couple of weeks ago , I thought it was a bit slow and lacked the atmosphere of the previous seasons but I stuck with it and it got better . It was always a slow burner to b fair . Any hoo , finished it last night and Dexter died ! 🙀 . Give it another try , I won't tell u how he dies , sorry if I've already spoilt it for u 😩 .

(SPOILER ALERT in case anyone' watching the original Dexter series)

It's ok. Knowing how tv dramas work, he's probably not really dead. Unless like the actor quit or the show's been cancelled. The main reason I didn't like the reboot is because it was missing everything from the original series. He wasn't with a big city police dept with all the colorful characters, didn't have his forensic blood lab anymore, his stepsister wasn't there, etc... I understand he needed to disappear, but they could have created some situation where he was able to hide his identity and land a job in another major police dept. I also really didn't like how the original series ended.

Movies I'd seen...that maybe people on here have seen too.
I tried to do it with books, but a lot of people don't read anymore, however, when a movie has been made based on a book, I'm like have you seen this??
Read the book!

I'm thinking about how life is just a never-ending cycle of things that need to be done... and things to complain about. And if you don't do them, your life begins to fall apart. But if you manage to keep up and do them, sooner or later you begin to fall apart.

You mean letters of Paul and Timothy right? I don't think they wrote books.
Also I heard it was 500 eyewitnesses, not 5000 but what's a few extra 4500 people right?
well 1st Peter and 2nd Peter, and then 1st Timothy and 2nd Timothy. Those Books.
Actually as I open my bible Program, I am looking at the Book of James, the Book of Titus, The book of Philemon, The book of Jude

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene
Mar 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
Mar 16:10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
Mar 16:11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
Jesus Appears to Two Disciples
Mar 16:12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
Mar 16:13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

On the Road to Emmaus
Luk 24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
Luk 24:14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
Luk 24:15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
Luk 24:16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
Luk 24:17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
Luk 24:18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
Luk 24:19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
Luk 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
Luk 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
Luk 24:22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
Luk 24:23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
Luk 24:24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
Luk 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Luk 24:26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
Luk 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luk 24:28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
Luk 24:29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
Luk 24:30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
Luk 24:31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
Luk 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Luk 24:33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
Luk 24:34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
Luk 24:35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
Luk 24:36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Luk 24:37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
Luk 24:38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
Luk 24:40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
Luk 24:41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
Luk 24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
Luk 24:43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Luk 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Luk 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luk 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Jesus and Thomas
Joh 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
Joh 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
Joh 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

The Resurrection of Christ
1Co 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
1Co 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
1Co 15:11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

I thought it was 5000 but I may have been confusing the crowd after the resurection with the multitude he fed in the wilderness, but after double checking you are correct it was a crowd of 500.

hmm mine (KJV) says epistle (which means letter) but I suppose that' s splitting hairs.

I don't know that 1-2 pages constitutes a book...I suppose if it was in big writing and they stretched it out over several pages...? I think the minimum you can have to constitute a book is 24 pages. Well I'm guessing here, I mean it's completely changed what with Bibles online being able to chop and change passages at will.

Sorry I'm blabbing on about books I should stop.

What am I thinking right now???
It's 7pm, We just got home, I don't have a dinner plan back up (my first plan isn't working out)
I have 15 year old boy who usually doesn't eat much at home (because after school he's busy snacking while out and about with friends) come in the kitchen looking for food and tell me "It's one of those rare days where I'm really hungry"
and I'm left going AHHHHHHHH!!! What to do? What to do!?

Either that spaghetti was that good or they were that hungry! Lol.
I cooked up the whole 1LB box planning on some left overs for lunch tomorrow...
guess I'll have to figure out a different lunch

Last night I couldn't sleep -- just tried my best to take little naps when possible.

I listen to a lot of social commentary to try to keep up with what's going on, and for ways in which conservatives can successfully fight back against woke culture.

During one flittering nap, I had a dream that I was working in an office -- and a female co-worker was loudly declared, "I am attracted to men one day out of the month!"

So in the dream, I asked her what she was attracted to all the OTHER days of the month.

Alas, I woke up before she could answer. :cool:

And I was half laughing to myself, but also completely disappointed.

I REALLY wanted to know the answer!
