Ok, wow... A lot of posts in the past day. here are a few issues I'd like to address-

"So you can just walk up to someone and say 'I'm going to love you.'"

YES. I can't tell you what the end result will be, because you can't have a love RELATIONSHIP that's only one-sided, but you can love regardless of whether the other person loves back or not ~_o

And about the "Christians who have twisted views." From your particular situation, I have NO idea how the circumstance really was. If you want the truth, they were right for making you split up, because Christians are only supposed to marry other Christians, and if they don't, it leads to some serious relationships problems down the road, especially when children are involved.

And one more thing, about love being a choice. I know you probably won't listent o anything biblical, but just today in my English lit book ('bout time it was useful to me), I found a sonnet by Shakespeare. There are actually two, but I forgot the number for the second one... but they convey the same message. Here's the first one.

"Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved."

It's saying that love does not change, and it stays steady, regardless of if the person changes or not. If people had this attitude towards relationships, we'd be far better off ~_o But a little fact- When situations change, emotions change. If love was purely emotional, then any sign of a struggle would break love instantly. This isn't the case =D

if you say a christian can not love a non christian then you might aswell say a black can not love a white i loved her and i still do i also knew her love for the church and her family and i cannot bear taken some1 love away you have no right to say who can and cannot love no one has that right.

God tells us not to be with someone unequally yoked. So yeah, Christians are supposed to marry other Christians.

Personally? I think everyone's life would be far more stress free, easier and happy if they were to obey God's word than do whatever they feel like. Yes, I do think its fair because the Lord never forsakes the righteous, if we follow His way, He'll bless us tremendously.
No humans love can conquer the love of God. Also, when you put people before God, then problems will arise.

I never said non-Christians were incapable of love. I was just stating that love is a choice, not something you "fall into," because I'm still on the topic of homosexuality, as well as your topic lol. Non-Christians can love too, but that doesn't mean that they should be with Christians ~_o Like I said, it causes relationship problems about ~10 years down the road, maybe sooner. It's better that it never happened, though you could always just make an honest attempt at examining Christianity itself, instead of the poor Christian examples =D

so if we was to follow his way we have to say: exdous 21 verse 7 When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she shall not go out as the male slaves do: basically male free female costs.exdous 35 verse 2 Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death........ sounds great how many mory things are like this

You know that Jesus put an end to many of those laws, right? Pharisees had taken these laws and VERY strictly exercised them. In fact, they even twisted the laws to make them MORE strict, putting specific limits on steps you could take and the like. However, Jesus deliberately broke these laws as an example that if you are working for God, then petty crap like that doesn't matter. Of course, you shouldn't just disregard all rules and fanatically do crazy stuff "in the name of God." You should use good judgment with it.

Also, how did you get "male free female costs"? What I got from that is if you buy a female slave, you can't put her to work outside of the house, while a man can labor in the fields and stuff... ?

Back then, men (the fathers) were actually rulers of their households. And the whole "slave" thing, you have to take all the chapter into accordance. Its about how long servants are to work, and laws about "slavery."
It says "And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do." It doesn't say "Sell your daughters."
Simply put:
if a man sell his daughter-Hebrew girls might be redeemed for a reasonable sum. But in the event of her parents or friends being unable to pay the redemption money, her owner was not at liberty to sell her elsewhere. Should she have been betrothed to him or his son, and either change their minds, a maintenance must be provided for her suitable to her condition as his intended wife, or her freedom instantly granted.
Also, you should know, this was before Jesus bought us salvation.

Alright, listen up here kidds.

BEING CHRISTIAN IS ABOUT LOVE AND ABOUT NEVER JUDGING.

So why the h-e-double L is being gayy such a big deal? I'm a christain. && Guess what I believe? That there is no such thinng as sin. :)

So suckafish. I've had it. I'm a democratic, openminded christain, and being gayy is no more a sin than being straight. So. Meh. Peace out.

I see nothing wrong with it.
I'm bisexual.
Iff I go to hell, whoops-a-daisy.
But I love every one. I'll gladly be friends with any one who wants to be nice. :)
And I'd never judge a single soul.
Let's be more christlike here?
Jesus loved the sinners just as much as he love children.

I am praying my heart out that this is sarcasm. But, if it isn't my point that I have brought up countless times of Christians not actually having a relationship with God, can just proclaiming to be Christians, has just proved itself. If you are truly a Christian, you would not be stupid enough to make half those comments. How can you believe in hell, yet not believe in sin? How else do you get to hell? and you act as though if you go to hell, then so bo it, it won't be that bad. I am willing to get some biblical evidence here, but I first want to know if you were being serious.

You have issues! What kind of "christian" are you?...excuse me for my slight anger but.. wow. I've heard things like this before so it's not a shock.. Please don't say your this and that with the Lord unless you agree completely on everything he stands for! So if you don't believe in sin.. that's just wack. Have you ever read the bible??

Amazing how much you hate yourself... You're judging us for judging other people! And the best part is, we never judged other people!

We say "Homosexuality is wrong, and should not be practiced." You hear it as, "gay people are less of a person than us, because they're gay." We NEVER said that. So get off your "I love everyone except you" high horse and look at it from BOTH sides of the equation ~_o

And to the slave thing, it never said male slaves were free. It said that if you sold a girl as a slave, she couldn't be put to work outside of the house. It didn't mention the cost of male slaves at all, it just mentioned that male slaves could be put to work in the fields and stuff, while girls couldn't ~_o

I hate to say this, but there are some that the word will not reach without a lot of pain.

Being gay is just as wrong, not more than any other sin. But the why is the trouble. It is denying God, His majesty, His perfection, His justice and righteousness. (There is no sin.) In this type of mindset, there is not a real and living God, but an idea that is anything the person wants it to be. And this idea is set to serve the beliefs of the one who has this mindset. The result is a mind that is closed to grace, and is open to every sin that degrades the respect that this one has for themselves. It takes a real shock to open the mind of such a one. Not saying it can't be done, for all things are possible with God, but whew!

Peace in His name,

well, here is my oppinion. the attraction for the same sex is actualy normal, but if you act upon it, that is when it becomes a sin. for we have no control of what we find attractive or un-atractive, but we do have the control to not act upon it in sinful ways. but thats just my oppinion.
