What did Christ do for mankind,for us? This is a very specific question : it demand a very specific answer. The answer is: Christ, the messiah, has come to earth, lived a sinless life , died for all mankind to provide the the way of salvation for all mankind, rose again, has returned to Heaven. All this will not save one soul. Because all mankind is dead in sin. period.! Salvation provided saves no one. If salvation is only provided for all mankind, no one gets saved. BUT praise God, Jesus came to save "His" chosen people, the elect ones from their sins. Jesus died in general, for the whole world, BUT, Jesus died specifically for His "elect" only, only the elect will be saved. Love to all, Hoffco Hi Zone, glad to see, you are still here.
 
I think we all try to back up what we say with Scripture, God's word. Therefore I always try to quote the Bible when I witness to others every day. I am a full time, active missionary to the Philippines, retired from New York ,so all my time is devoted to full time witnessing and preaching, except when I am sleeping.LOL. John 3:3-21 "...you must be born again" (from above)... " born of the water"..."born of the Spirit"..."For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes" ( a condition to be meant) "in Him should not perish" (might not perish) "but should" (might) "have eternal life ....And this is the condemnation of the world" ( the world is still condemned to perish, even after Jesus died for them) "that the light has come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil". ( Jesus death didn't save anyone ) "But he who does the truth comes to the light that his deeds may be clearly seen that they have been done in God."( The only ones who will come to Jesus are those who love to obey the truth of God, and this action proves that they are "born of God.) Therefore ,we see, no one can come to Jesus ,except those who are born again of God. Love to all, Hoffco We need to "rightly divide" the Word of God
