You are not following what i said. I was not talking about the bible or incarnation. I only said, humans language (any human language), words and their meaning are enough evidence that a knowledgeable source exists. Words and their meaning can only be taught/learned from knowledgeable source(s), there's no other way of acquiring meaning of words.
Or it could be an emergent property of the brain as hominids evolved. Without agreed definitions language is meaningless.

You
Let us not side step the discussion, at present we are not talking about the nature of God.

Please answer the question posed, thank you.
Your question had "God" in it. Define your terms, sir!

What have you done that is good? Who are you to judge Gods actions? Do you know the mind of God?

Job 38:1 ¶ Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4 ¶ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

I'm familiar with Job. Quite poetic but dreadful from a moral point of view.

Yes. You have suppressed the Truth in unrighteousness because you love your sin. But again, YOU YOURSELF at one time say you believed. This proves that every man knows the Truth because God has shown it to them

You can't squirm out of that point.
The only squirming I've witnessed on this thread has come from Christians. I used to believe in Santa Claus up to age 8. Then I received new information and my reasoning improved until I could no longer believe. Would you say I squirmed out of that as well? You come across as profoundly brainwashed.

Yep. We can believe all sorts of fairy tales. Like evolution and the big bang. The devil has all sorts of deceptions for us. I agree.

But it doesn't change the Truth of Scripture that you knew there was a God at one time, but reject Him now because you do not want to give up, nor be held accountable for your sin.

It appears that Job has taught you nothing. You would rather follow some dreadful professor who is laden with sin and transgression into the valley of death.

The sovereignty of God is displayed in Job. Man, good or evil is always subject to Gods authority. If we examined your morality I'm quite certain you would fair no better than Job or his friends who came and accused him.

"As hominids evolved"... now that's funny.

Change over time is real. Advancement in information and complexity without a Source is not.

Which Bible verse did you use for your fairly gentle words?
Rev. 20:4,5 "Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection."

I propose this as a promise from God that the rest of the dead will be resurrected. I also propose that He isn't done with them yet. Stay tuned, there is more. 5thumbsup.gif

Judas Death - I conceded defeat on that issue. That doesn't mean I automatically accept all other Biblical claims or think that all problems have been solved.
Why do you equate knowing the truth is the same as "defeat"? As far as I am concerned, it's a great outcome because you are no longer in error concerning truth.

You "defeat" yourself, though, when you then have the attitude that you "would not use that example in future to demonstrate a Biblical inconsistency" rather than consider teaching your atheist and ex-christian friends this truth. Will you all sit around and bemoan your "defeat" because you have one less example to use when telling people of faith that Scripture is full of inconsistencies?

6 days is not the same as about 8 days. Which is the true figure? What's the error in the measurement? Why not just say "Several days" if you can't get the figure correct? Is God script editing his book at all - that's easy for him surely?
That you believe / insist there is "error in the measurement" does not mean there is error.

I showed you the records in Matthew and Mark. Both agree it was six days. There were six days between Jesus and His disciples being in Caesarea Philippi (Matt 16:13, Mark 8:27) and Jesus taking Peter, James and John up the mountain. Six days not counting the day in Caesarea Philippi and not counting the day they went up the mountain.

Luke states about eight days. Luke's reckoning of the about eight days includes the day in Caesarea Philippi and the day in which they went up the mountain.

There is no "error in the measurement" as you insist ... and both reckonings of time are logical (and certainly no reason to throw out the whole Bible as being some sort of mythical story that has deluded those who hold Scripture as Truth).

I never claimed Hume was irrational.

Do you believe miracle claims today? If so, why? If not, why not?
I believe God can do and does the miraculous even in our day and time. The most miraculous thing God has done and continues to do is the new birth within. In your Post #40, you claim you had gone through this but I cannot claim you did or you did not.

Until demonstrated otherwise, the Bible is the philosophy and reasoning of men - Bronze Age and Iron Age men.
Your denial that God is and that He is the Author of His Word does not mean you are correct in your surmising.

If the spiritual realm can manifest in reality, then it should be demonstrable.
So now, the physical realm is "reality"? Have you considered that the spiritual realm is "reality" and the physical realm is manifested in "reality" (the spiritual)?

Spectrox said:
Why doesn't God heal amputees? That would be a good demonstration.
The greatest healing that occurs in the life of a man or a woman is the healing which takes place when a person is born again.

There is a spiritual healing which takes place in which our broken physical bodies hold a treasure of great value.

You focus on the physical with no regard for the precious gift received at the time of person is born again.

Depends what you mean by "God" I suppose.

The Euthyphro Dilemma asks: do the gods love good action because it is good, or is good action good because it is loved by the gods?

In other words, God could say that genocide and slavery are correct and basically be a cosmic Mafia Boss - or God could just agree that peace and kindness are good and be a useless middle man.
God is love, light and life. These are traits not associated with mafia bosses.

And you're wrong again. Its quite alarming the number of times you have made unevidenced assertions. But keep on digging. Evolution and the Big Bang Theory have lots of supporting scientific evidence. The Bible does not and sometimes conflicts with science. All it has is millions of people like you making bald assertions. Maybe your rationale is that if you keep repeating nonsense often enough, the masses will believe you?

You know you are just as guilty of everything you just accused him of? The same exact thing can be applied to you, like the cheating husband accusing the wife of cheating. It's so obvious from my point of view. The same exact way we believe in Jesus you believe in "big bang+evolution=magic existence", the difference is yours is a blind faith in man's intellect, and ours is a direct revelation from our creator.
You are (anyone is) blind in the dark without Jesus.

You say spirits? Do you speak english as a second language? I just want to be clear.. Because there is only ONE HOLY SPIRIT.
I am a living witness I have seen the spirits of the lord showing great compassion and comfort throughout the church which came down from heaven.
