Say I'm (Charles P. English) a guy or (Kerri M. Seastar) a girl... basically who I am is irrelevant. I am a random person looking for a mate/date/courtship... etc.

Give me a reason to fall in love with YOU specifically. What is it about you that is different, that will set you apart in my mind/heart/etc and make me take interest in you?

We make all of these lists about all the crap we don't want other people to be, all the things we hope they are and how we expect it to go down. But, what about us?

What sets YOU apart from everyone else, from being anybody to being someone I would remember?

How do YOU express yourself to the world, to be truly seen and understood?

Who are You and why should that be special to someone else, how does someone take you seriously, personally?

How do I know that you are not just another pretty face in a sea of church goers?

-No negative terms, we aren't defined by the space we do not occupy. Like, "I don't do (x) and I'm not (x), therefore he/she will see who I am." No I'm not into...

-No belittling other posters or other posts. No facepalms, Corrections, Character attacks, and no dark sarcasm in the classroom.

-If you sing tell us (or show us) :) Thats more or less the intent of this thread. Its a kind of show and tell. But instead of being about toys or material stuff, its about qualities we want a mate to find in us. If you are a master chef, take some pictures. If you are a curious world traveler tell us about what makes you want to do that. If you like having fun or if you have a fun personality, then lets see it, make a video or something.

That is an AWESOME question, Doug! :) Its something that's been on my mind like forever (wondering if I'll ever meet a woman out there who will see the things I want them to see in me). There have been a few that have but that was back when I seemed to get a lot of attention from women (this was way, way, waaaaaaay back then!).

Its a bit difficult to describe because it is not just one thing, but multiple things that interact within me that makes me unique and possibly stand out.

The "I love cats" girl is in the wrong place, but I promised myself that I wouldn't edit this :D

I would say that there is nothing that makes me stand out. Or perhaps that's not exactly true. Perhaps the one thing I have that makes me standout is my absolute disdain for standing out. The vast majority of things I do are done in an attempt to be forgettable. I would much rather the action itself be recognized and not the myself. Do I think that makes me stand out to a girl? Doubtful, but then again I don't really feel a need to stand out to a girl, so I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Its a bit difficult to describe because it is not just one thing, but multiple things that interact within me that makes me unique and possibly stand out.

My Dad once told me, "Honey, you SEE people."

I hope to meet someone someday who sees THAT I see... He doesn't have to SEE what I see... In fact, I'd prefer that he sees a little differently than I do in order to widen my perspective... but that he understands the fact that I see things differently--not better or infallibly, but just differently--and hopefully, he'll be ok with that.

I long to talk to people who have been through extreme things. I hope to volunteer at more prisons, veteran's hospitals, orphanages... Because I crave real stories from real people. Unedited and untouched... NO Photoshop editing, blurring, or covering up their true thoughts, experiences, and emotions.

For example... Other people see a prison. But I see moments of my life when I've never felt more free--because the people inside spoke to me with no holds barred, no memorized lines, and no pretty speeches. Rather, I see life, and death, in the raw. And I would rather face an ugly truth head-on the be spoon-fed pretty lies that cover up what's really going on (such as at church--there have been many times I've found myself politely nodding at yet another "Jesus mask", and I wish to God I were back at the prisons talking to inmates who told me more than I want to hear instead. At least it was real.)

I have a unique walk in life. My family is of a different race and I've never dated anyone who was the same race as I am--not because of prejudice, but that's just how life has worked out so far. I CRAVE new experiences, cultures, colors, food, senses, places... even if it's just a demonstration or film presentation at the local library. I long for someone to SHARE those new adventures with. I don't do well emotionally if I don't have someone I can share a mutual, "Let's-be-ourselves-and-nothing-else" relationship/friendship with.

I long to make a person feel better, to strengthen them or make them laugh and help them achieve a God-given dream. If there is something I can do to make that dream come true, I will do anything I possible can to help them stand in the middle of their finish line and relish the moment. (Example... arranging and going with someone for their very first plane ride.) I love introducing people to new things and long for someone to do the same for me, even if it's just a local hole-in-the-wall diner down the street.

The BEST sound in the world to me is the sound of someone laughing so hard that they snort! I RELISH honest moments of raw emotion, whether it's screaming, crying, collapsing, or that faint smile that starts to form on the corners of a person's mouth when they've hit rock bottom... and God is starting to touch their heart. I crave passion, honesty, and pureness in expression, whether through words, color, art, hobbies... I long for people to share new things I don't know with me. I long for strangers who become family...

I can't do anything to make myself stand out or make someone fall in love with me. I am who I am, and that has to be enough. I just hope that maybe, someday I'll meet someone... and the corners of his mouth will start to form that smile.

The world tells us to use up as many people as possible.

I just want one person to experience as many things as possible with.

Oh man, if you could just delay the photostream by about 2 seconds the pics would be perfectly in sync with the audio. :) Otherwise, loved it! :) And I think the cat girl looks like Lee Ann Rimes.

I can relate to this :
I long to make a person feel better, to strengthen them or make them laugh and help them achieve a God-given dream. If there is something I can do to make that dream come true, I will do anything I possible can to help them stand in the middle of their finish line and relish the moment.

You and I.... are not so different :)

I once knew someone that thought just about everything about me was amazing. Not an infatuation kind of thing cause I knew her for a LONG time. It was just an amazing thing to get praise and be told how much you are appreciated. Also she really liked that I was easily pleased and appreciated small things about her that I thought others took for granted.

So I guess based on that experience, it would be nice to have someone that appreciated the things I have worked hard to achieve and also appreciate how easily I am to please.

Interesting question, btw.

Well, Liamson, I would say its my mind thats different from other people's minds.

If I'm at home, being around me is fairly forgettable experience. I'm the most laid back home body you'll ever meet, at home. Don't get me wrong I can cook and entertain sort of but, its not really my forte. Being at home is like idling, conserving energy for something else, something later or someone I might see outside.

Put me outside or around people, and its a whole different burrito. I get a sort of contagious energy that snowballs into creativity and expression and camaraderie. And its in those moments of exploration and improvisation, that is when people really like being around me.

But when the friends are gone and when the party is over, and the energy is simply an afterglow, the creativity and deep inspiration is still there, and that is when people fall in love with me. Its when we get to unpack all the experiences we've had and dissect what happened and go over the play by play of how we got away. Its like before the energy was turned outward and after it becomes inverted and the same energy is turned inside to discover the meaning of life. Its like an explorer who circles the world collecting artifacts on some fantastic adventure, then when he gets home he unpacks and when he unpacks he discovers the treasures that he had stumbled across in his voyages. He sorts between the tourist fodder and the pearls worth keeping.

So in a sense I feel like Alladin. In my house its really boring but, I have a magic carpet and a Genie, they live in my head and they make the world adventurous and meaningful.

People who like me because I'm easy to get along with at home, usually hate me because of my crazy ideas or my adventures. For me its a cycle, Adventure, Unpack, and prepare.

SPAM TOILET!!! OH YEAH!!

(True story, I did make it, and did win an award for it. So I'm not derailing. :P)

Jim, I might possibly find that wildly attractive... IF I knew what it was.

At first glance, I thought it was a sculpture of a toilet!! :D

I want someone to see what I see...similar to what Kim was saying. He doesn't have to understand all I see, but I wanna be able to share it in a way that he can come to appreciate or even share the same interest in my vision. I will in turn support his and embrace his, and hopefully God will work things out so that we can be of the same mind. We all stand out for different reasons. I'm not very artistic so I don't stand out for my artistic skills or singing skills, and as much as I would love to be able to play the piano or the violin to express myself, I can't (though I havent given up to the idea of learning :) ).

I have a heart for people. I want someone who can see that and embrace that part of me. One of my favorite videos is this one because she is able to express her love while being herself.

I want that. I want someone who can see both love and freedom in me. Someone with whom I can share love and freedom. Just like Christ shared that with us. I've had people tell me that they feel 'inspired' to be more when they are around me. I've become to embrace that empathy God gifted me with ..which I used to think was a burden. But I love when people feel free to be themselves without feeling judged or awkward. If I find a way for someone to feel loved and comfortable and inspired, I am the happiest woman in the world :).

At first sight, I have nothing especial to offer. Probably not even at second or tenth sight lol. At church, I probably look like another church-goer. Friendly yeah, but I rarely share deeper thoughts with people unless I know them very well. Not everyone is up for listening or discussing complicated ideas or emotions.

If someone wants to share with me, I will listen. If someone wants to listen, I will share. That's the first step for creating memories we can remember forever. Otherwise....I will be just someone else in the life of someone who is not interested in what I believe in because all we talked about was, ''what are you gonna do this weekend?''. I guess that is alright, since we all have different talents and passions in this God-given life. I can't force people to like what I like.

Meanwhile I express myself by just being myself. Not extremelly skillful or virtuous, but willing to connect with people and be a blessing to someone else in any possible way.

It is indeed a sculpture of a toilet. :) Carved lovingly from 100% canned meat, with a few toothpicks.

It's only intangible what makes me great...NO flash photography!

I can think of four qualities I've been told I have that makes me ''not just another pretty face''. Your quote, not mine!

1. I am comfortable to be around, somehow people can feel it and have told me, they are at ease , they can be themselves. I think it's a great quality.

2. I am transparent, I don't make people guess at anything about me, I'm willing to volunteer information. I have many people relieved at how open I am and have been termed refreshing in this manner.

3. I don't make people feel stupid, in fact I strongly discourage ''I have a stupid question'' disclaimers, so what if you don't know what I do? I don't feel the need to tell every person I come across I don't know what they know. I encourage people to just feel free to learn from me and let me do the same from you. I have letters written by customers to my former employers verifying this:)

4. I actively search for people to assist without compensation for what I do.

Soooyah...that is me. Boy howdy..

Wow... Would a Spam Toilet officially be called a Spoilet??? :D

Well, I can definitely say you have creativity going for you. ;)
