When you follow someone what does that do?

It shows that you're a stalker.. lol JK

On here, it's the new way of sending a friend request, which we no longer have the option of accepting or rejecting it.. :/

In relation to most forums i know.. if you follow another user you get notifications when ever that person has posted a reply on the forum..

But i am not sure you are asking about that? Are you speaking in more general terms?

That's what I thought too but I wasn't getting any notifications. It's like Blue said, it's being friends with that person.

I think the notifications might go automatically to your email account.. I always go to the settings of a Forum and switch off notifications because i do not want my Email account clogged with notifications of every time someone posts in a thread i have relied too..

So maybe the notifications are in your email account.. Or you have notifications turned off ? Maybe...
