Yesterday I was feeling so tired, possibly because I had a migraine, should have noticed it earlier..

But on Friday I got a lamp for my living room that I had ordered (I waited so long for it to be on sale!). So yesterday, I was super eager to get it installed and my brother was no where near this town..

And it was not the type of lamp I could just throw there and connect easily, I had bought an adapter for that..
But it didn't fix this problem I noticed as I opened the package.. It was flat installation not just hang it to there. I need to return that adapter..

Since I took it to this part, I may just finish it all the way.
Hardest part was to take those wires out from that light socket.

Ugh, now I have another lamp for my hallway.. Not gonna do that yet...

Awesome job! My dad and I installed a ceiling fan around 2010. This reminded me a lot of what we did. It was the last project we ever did together.

I halfway finished a model flower cart.
The kit had two of the same sheets so I had to take it back to the store to find the missing sheet. Somebody messed up at the crafting factory!

Thank you... Today I am thinking it may be rather nice to take a break from it all as I will be seeing
my daughter this afternoon and then having dinner with her and her aunt. I did write another song
yesterday... and wow! That looked like a very complicated process getting that lamp hung, but it really
looks great. I would be afraid of electrocuting myself, LOL, or falling off the chair. I avoid such things heh.

Yeah, the open plan kitchen has been kind of a trend, I don't like it.

I feel exactly the same way, I don't like that either. And in my opinion, it doesn't make any sense, because cooking often produces strong smells. If everything is open, the smell spreads everywhere. But I prefer kitchens that also have space to sit, which is exactly what I have now. Three (or four) people can easily sit at the table in the kitchen. And that's more than enough for me. In the living room, there’s a larger dining table that easily seats six people. But, when do I ever have that many guests?

Um... I actually also have two more lamps in the living room that definitely need to be installed...

Right now, there are just wires hanging from the ceiling and the wall, and I've temporarily put just a light bulb on them.

a light day for me: mowed lawns, spread some bug killer on our lawn, bought some merch from a customer, cleaned it, prepped for a sale this weekend, looked up merch prices, investigated a car collection, helped a guy look for his eyeglasses but didn't find them, assisted an elderly lady with some chores at her house, conversed with dealers on antiques & now, typing this!

Its 6:57 in the morning. Been up since 4am. I prepared breakfast, figured out how to cook chicken tenderloins in the microwave (instead of the air fryer), and slightly burned 2 of them in the process. Now I am getting ready for an early morning shopping trip. I will be wearing shorts even though it is 53 degrees (11.66 celcius) outside.

Thank you... Today I am thinking it may be rather nice to take a break from it all as I will be seeing
my daughter this afternoon and then having dinner with her and her aunt. I did write another song
yesterday... and wow! That looked like a very complicated process getting that lamp hung, but it really
looks great. I would be afraid of electrocuting myself, LOL, or falling off the chair. I avoid such things heh.

A whole song in one day... wow, I could not write a song in ten years, even if I tried.. But I guess when the inspiration flows it is the best time to write those.

Oh, and I jumped half on the sofa half on a chair, sofa was too soft and I could get the chair to the right place Also I cut the electricity off from the whole house just to be sure..

Well, I have a kitchen, but I took the doors off.. sooo, it is kind of open still, just no straight view to my whole living room. My kitchen only sits just two people.

And about guests, yeah, I never have that many guest either. I have seen on the renovation show etc where they want to entertain people and kitchen need to be huge and connected to the living room.. Maybe overseas people like having (and have) sooo many people over all the time. And even if I have more people, we don't all have to be in the same room, if I have that many over they are going to know each other and entertain one another.

Haha yes. I usually cook them in the air fryer but it takes too long (17 minutes for 2) and you have to flip them halfway through. I figured out that it takes only 4 minutes 30 seconds (for 1) in the microwave. Have to adjust for bigger or smaller pieces. The humidity outside was high so it felt more like 63 (17.2 C).

Good morning Karlon, yes, I turned to music making around mid-December, first generating music for poems I wrote in the 70s and 80s, and then moving through a phase of collecting Scripture verses around specific themes, and generating the music for those based on style prompts I give the generators regarding voice, genre, tempo, instrumentation, etc. That part of the process can be very frustrating because it is probably more like herding cats than anything else I have ever attempted (LOL). The Scripture based songs turned out well but did not really satisfy my creative drive, and that was when I moved into writing original material based on my own testimony and understanding of God, Scripture, salvation etc Those songs I would call personal devotional modern praise and worship testimonials, and they comprise the bulk of my work to date. My preference is to keep the focus on God. My channel description explains much of this, and I just looked at it to see I joined YT Oct 10, 2014, but my first video upload was December 17, 2025. I Think I have 55 videos available to be viewed by the public, out of 67 total, some of which are private for various reasons. One reason for that is that in the beginning I had absolutely no idea how to make videos, so some are duplicated when I made a better video, as I learned more about what is involved beyond the song writing itself. Much of what is involved beyond the song writing itself is crazy making LOL.Crazy making and yet I keep returning to the process, because I love the results, and would love to have my songs reach a wider audience over time and feed the spirits of those who listen. Yeah, I used to get up on a chair to clean (the inside of) my windows in a high rise... but it has been years since I did that and I would not dare now LOL. Turning off the electricty is of course the smartest move also! I would not trust myself to do it properly haha.

Another guitar lesson yesterday, where I tried to play 'What was I made for' by Billie Eilish. Not very successfully, and only the first verse. I'm learning finger picking.

I cooked fish fingers, mashed potato and spinach for dinner. On the stove and in the oven. I never use the microwave to cook dinner.

Yea the microwave comes out soggier but the slightly burned ones were crispy on the edges where they were burnt. They weren't black, just the edges were brown and tough to chew. Someone should figure out how to make stuff crispy in the microwave. Anyway, I wouldn't get rid of the microwave unless you have the time to cook everything in an air fryer. Something that takes 1 minute in the microwave takes about 4 minutes in an air fryer, give or take.

"incident of coincident"- back in the 90's, i was making mashed potatoes & spinach. i didn't have 2 steamers so i placed the potatoes & spinach separate, in the steamer to cook. little by little, they mixed. i mashed them to gather, put butter & salt in & everyone thought it was great. i added garlic a couple of times & that was super too! try it!
