That is ludicrous and incorrect. There are plenty of Godly women out there who would love to find a man and settle down.
 
One thing that the Bible talks about is that some people have the "gift" to stay pure (as in not desiring to be with someone). If you don't have that gift, then you should try to find a companion to avoid sexual immorality and sins that come forth from that sin. People shouldn't try to fake it, or else that can lead to worse struggles. So basically what I am trying to say is that it isn't bad to desire a companion, in fact, God ADVISES us to find one, to keep us from sin. It also reminds me of the verse "Wherever two are gathered in my name, here I am in their midst."

So, maybe my "desire" for a Godly woman is a little overblown, but it's best to try to find someone who takes their faith seriously...
 
i believe part of the problem is so many Christians have their 'list of demands' on what They Want in someone, but very few Christians ever stop to think do they have anything to offer. I think its safe to assume the majority of Christians looking to date are hoping it will lead to marriage. Marriage is all about selfLESSness. Its not 'what can i get out of this marriage/person' but 'what do i have to give'. when people approach dating with some narrowed down list of requirements & the focus is 'this is what I want so that this person will be what I want'. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying its bad to have an idea of things you look for, or standards, my point is that often times it seems 'the list' is the focus, instead of focusing on making Yourself the right kind of spouse. my thought is put your focus on continuing your walk, & read books, or talk to happy couples, etc, about what it means to be a good spouse. in the mean time pray God will send you the right person. put your focus on your own growth as opposed to your demands.
 
i totally agree with the statement made. Women should be held to those standards but men should be accountable too. I don't expect guys to be perfect but I do want them to be growing in their faith and to have God as the focus of their life. I am okay with kissing but that's as far as i will go till i am married and most men my age think it is weird that i am a virgin and choose to be this way.
