Do tell. How is this? I have never heard one person who has said they agree with Hypergrace say they reject this verse, or do not live it..

In fact, I have heard them say well, that verse explains them, That is how they live.

it is how a person with faith lives.

not sure i agree but to much to explain

so whats with all those prayers in the Hebrew bible when its all on them and no help from the Most High? so under grace when you sin or make a mistake do you put all the blame on the Most High?

what do you do with the passages where Jesus teaches keep His commands?

in the OT, if you committed a sin, a high priest had to sacrifice an innocent animal

Then, you DO believe perfectly following rules is a requirement for Salvation? That explains a lot.
Do you walk to work or take a paper bag?

Equally as relevant to the conversation. You keep saying "legalists," as if no one at all understands what you're saying. There are no legalists on these threads. Stephen has said that over and over again, but you, in your passive-aggressive/just-skimming-the-line-for-TOS call anyone who says anyone is a hyper gracer a legalists; i.e. STEPHEN, or anyone who dares disagree with you a "legalist," and bring it right back to this stupid, childish question. And then you beam. I can feel the heat from your radiation glow to here that you proved the point somehow and are then entitled to mock.

THE CHARGES ARE LIES! THE QUESTIONS DEFLECT INTENTIONALLY SO YOU CAN STILL KEEP FEELING GOOD ABOUT YOUR BOATLOAD OF MANURE!

Your argument isn't merely a strawman, it's a setup to make you feel better that you alone have everything just so, and anyone who disagrees is so much less than you. Most of the people I have known who have your skill level got over their delusions by the end of 8th grade. They knew that it doesn't work to make an argument into something else to laugh stopped working. How did you miss that boat so very long ago?

You're mocking to promote your lie. How is that a good thing? What does that have to do with walking with Jesus? As I said, you are doing exactly what the Sanhedrin and the Roman guards did. It is nothing to gloat over and yet you keep gloating, and lying.

It's a thin line walking between honoring one another and still honoring the truth. One I'm still learning how to walk. I will always support my positions with Scripture because that's why I believe them, but that doesn't mean everyone has to agree with me. I can still love you all even if you don't agree with me. I do get a little frustrated when people accuse me, but it's not like Jesus wasn't accused. And I'm sure I've done my own share as well. I'm bowing out of this thread. Sorry for any conduct that wasn't Christlike. I'm still growing and learning myself. Bless you all.

C.

Good post...sometimes it is just best to not interact with others when they are exhibiting this bad behavior which manifests in insulting others.

There will always be disagreements with what people believe because we are all at different places in our understanding of our Lord.

I maintain that to just give out what we believe with the scriptures and leave things in the hands of the Lord. The Holy Spirit will reveal truth about our Lord's majestic and perfect work on the cross and resurrection to all of us.

You must have only looked at that one post....... Go back and see what led up to it.
I did. How about you go back and read it without the thought of "And Willie always sees things perfectly, and everyone else gets nothing said right." Pretend you aren't you as you read the exchange, always looking to prove you are right.

Well you just lied about me, and claimed no one ever said it, Yet unlike others, I can back my claims, and I will nt only tell you WHO said it, but show the post.

so tell me. How do liars and slanderers get away with it. I would not know..

I just did,, And again, Unlike you, I ALWAYS DO.

Again you are shown to be a LIAR

are you going to report yourself now as the liar you are? Or apologize for slandering me when you were obviously wrong.

Is this your excuse? You have been asked numerous times to name names of people who teach it is OK to be a christian and NOT need to repent.. who are they?

Now take these works and read them to yourself.

YOU HAVE JUST BEEN PROVEN A LIAR..

and what is sad, Is that UNLIKE some of the questions people ask you, Which can not be readily answered. Peter actually made the statement today just a few posts back.

So you proved another trick you always use, You are so ready to try to trip people up. You miss on what is really said.

now are you going ro repent and admit you made a mistake, Or continue wiht the nonsense?

PS for the rest of the room. ALL EG wants Peter to do is ADMIT when he is wrong, and stop slandering other people..

if this is wrong, then I am EVIL..

if not. Then Stephen is proven a liar again.

"Christian" does mean Christ-like, doesn't it? Isn't that why Paul said he "presses toward the mark"? Isn't that why so many churches sing "To be like Jesus"?

I guess you don't want to be like Jesus.

Congratulations are in order..... You succeeded.:)

hmm,, silly little rant.

You made an accusation, And I proved it.

Still no repentance.

Here we go again.

actually christian means a follower of Christ, Not christlike. No one can be "christlike" all we can do is strive in every moment to do what christ would do in every situation. However, In order to be like Christ, We must NEVER make the wrong decision.

Congratulations are in order..... You succeeded.:)

Yeah I did

1. I proved you were a liar
2. I proved you would not admit your mistake, but blame shift.

however, I will not celebrate, I will instead continue to be saddened by a persons unwillingness to listen to anyone unless they agree with him, and refuse to do what he demands others do.

Hypergrace believes that works are not required for righteousness at all. Instead of working to become more righteous and holy one need only to receive all righteousness from Christ. Where as many christians would try to live by the letter of the law Hypergrace does not believe that Christians should live by the old testament but through relationship to Christ. It is a rest based and not a works based faith. Some would consider it antinomian not understanding that hyper grace believers still live in obedience to God but not through their own strength but on the sole strength of Christ alone. So we believe that the written law and ordinances are past and obedience comes through relationship to Christ alone. That is my best attempt to describe it. Its a lifestyle of relying on Christ for all righteousness instead of striving to live obedient by our own strength its a matter of letting go of our best effort and letting God do all the work of righteousness for us. A saying that best describes it is "None but by the grace of God go I. We do not manage sin or keep track of it, I personally do not confess my sins to God regularly because all sin was taken care of on the cross through Christ 33 AD, so to do so to me would be like saying Christ dying on the cross was not enough. We believe all sin was removed on the cross, and that our sin nature no longer exists but that we are a new creature. I am really trying to describe it the best I can, I hope I shed some light on it. Basically the law cannot make anyone righteous and is useless after the cross to the believer. In extremes some hypergrace is universalist, think of us like universalist except that we believe you are only saved through relationship to Christ.

Because that we have been given the full righteousness of Christ we have unmerited favor and the same authority that Christ has given by him, God is pleased with us and we are no longer under judgment caused by sin because of Christ and his imputed righteousness. All of Gods anger on sin was taken out on the cross so God is no longer angry at the sinner as Jonathan Edwards once preached, but the sinners spirit remains in darkness until they come to Christ where the spirit is translated into the light of Christ (born again/regenerated). As Christ said let those who thirst come drink from the river of life.

what do you do with the passages where Jesus teaches keep His commands?

The law was Intended to guide the person to CHRIST because GOD wanted the law fulfilled perfectly and when I say perfectly,I mean perfectly In TRUTH and no man under law could fulfill the law perfectly In TRUTH,If they could have, there would not have been a reason for JESUS to come to earth and be the lamb of GOD who takes away the sin of the world.

When I say In TRUTH,I mean from the Inside and not just outwardly.

Remember the rich young ruler, asking JESUS,what must I do to have eternal life and JESUS told him,why do you call me good, there Is only one that Is good and that Is GOD.You know the commandments.

Since he approached JESUS as a man Instead of calling HIM GOD,JESUS pointed him back to the law and no man can keep the law, they have to call on GOD.

Like Paul wrote In Romans, thank GOD for JESUS.

Honestly, I'd search Google for "new testament commands".I looked & there's several sites that have them listed..... Jesus' commands & apostles. I've learned that it's dificult to believe what you read in this forum.:)

no one is saying Jesus did not follow the law perfectly. He said He came to fulfill it not to do away with it.

Matthew 25:42-46

[SUP]42 [/SUP]For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, [SUP]43 [/SUP]I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ [SUP]44 [/SUP]Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ [SUP]45 [/SUP]Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ [SUP]46 [/SUP]And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

these sound like works to me, does the grace philosophy not teach we can turn a blind eye to those that are hungry, thirsty, sick?
Jesus did all these things so we dont have to do all these things, because He gave us grace? if we are not to follow the example of Jesus, whos example do we follow?

Jesus point about the pharisees is following God is about having a heart, speaking
in love and caring about others.

It is not just rules and ticking boxes, no matter if you succeed or fail, it becomes pointless.

What surprises me is this level of antagonism. Calling someone a liar and not admitting
mistakes.

The whole argument is not about talking about the frailty of mankind, but the glorious
transforming work of Christ in our lives.

Now if people say Jesus empowers them to walk as He walked, to be pure and holy,
as the apostles encourage us to do, then amen.

But though the language appears similar it comes with this barbed thorn, to tear and rip
down others, to accuse of sin where there is none, and to declare the goal is impossible.

But it is scripture and Jesus who holds up the goal, and Paul and the Apostles who claim
to be walking in it. Paul describes himself as holy, pure and blameless. He calls leaders
to live similar lives.

But then we are told this is impossible. I am confused. Paul is encouraging people to walk
like He walks, to follow His example, and that he has reached the standard he is talking about,
yet we cannot. I suggest this is the words of defeatests, and those who do not grasp the difference
between being in love and knowing the cross and its power and only striving to follow rules.

And this is in the end a point of view, and there is no bridge between the two camps.
I hope those on the other side can respect our differences and not try to throw false accusations
and condemnation where there is no justification, because that in itself is not following Christ.

So God bless you in your desire to know Christ and walk in love, may he heal and make you whole
so you can grasp the wonder of his miraculous work.

here is another decietful remark said to someone else.
Do I need to repost Peters statement about how if he is NOT LIKE CHRIST he will not be saved?

it is not us who need to repent.

I cannot honestly get involved in this type of behaviour.
It is just provocation with no end.

We are called to walk like Jesus, in love and righteousness.

Is this really so hard to do?
Are people so evil and the emotions they stir in you full of such anger and loathing, the
cross and forgiveness cannot overcome?

We are called to forgive from the heart.
To love our enemies, and to pray for those who persecute us.

I have not met a follower of Jesus who does not understand this is our calling.
Why? Because these are the words of Jesus.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.
Matt 5:44-45

Dear Father, I pray for those on this thread who do not understand love, that you might open
up their hearts and shower them with your grace and revelation of the love you gave us through
the cross to bring us into communion with you through the forgiveness of our sins,
In Jesus's Name,
Amen

This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.
Matt 18:35
