2 KINGS 4:42-5:19

We read about “Naaman” the Syrian who was healed of his Tzara-at, whatever kind he had, He was healed, not because of anything he could pay Elisha, but what he did in OBEDIENCE and FAITH. He went and bathed in the River Jordan, when down 7 times, again, “7” is YHVH’s perfect number, it kind of symbolizes baptism in a way. When we came up the seventh time, he was healed of his disease.

We also see that Gehazi, Elisha’s servant was stricken with “Tzara-at” because of his selfish motives and because he lied to his master.

We can become clean inside when we obey God’s Word, and accept Yeshua as Savior and LORD, Yeshua is the “Living Water” and when we “bathe in Him” we become clean, our “Tamei” becomes “tahor”

LUKE 17:11-17

Not the official Parashah reading, but this deals also with the healing of 10 who suffered with some sort of skin ailment, which made them “Tamei” and “outcasts”. Yeshua healed them all, only for the asking, YET only ONE returned to say “thanks”. Do we take our Salvation for granted? Do we think we deserve it? Remember that only through the grace of YHVH does he allow us into HIS family. Do we really live like “B’nei Malach?” (children of the King) or….do we succumb to the deceiver and lair of all times? Do we praise and thank Him for so great a gift such as YESHUAH (Salvation)? do we thank and praise YESHUA for YESHUAH? Something to think about.

The HfTorah this week. He needed to be persuaded but finally he did do the dipping.

I would offer Leprosy is used as a metaphor of one of the seven curses or illnesses that God uses to represent the power of the gospel to heal . Each one has a spiritual application to show men have heard the gospel and received the healing power in respect to the unseen working in a person who does believe.

Lame are used to represent the power of faith in a person enabling them to walk with Christ by the faith ofChrist as two walking together in agreement. Same with blind they are given eyes of a new heart to see the invisible things of God. Ears given to those who are spiritually deaf (mankind)

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Lepers what I call the disease of no feeling no pain (deadness.) It comes from a calloused hard heart as in natural man .No means to make his heart soft as one created new.

Leprosy was one of the two signs to show the rebellious of those who will not hear the word of God .It used as a sign against those who refused to believe the prophecy to Abraham that in 400 years he would come and demonstrate the gospel to the whole world typified as Egypt . The same kind of sign as a tongue (stammering lips) that God mocked those that mock the word of God prophecy be refusing to hear God.

The rod of rebellion, and leprosy no sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. You could say both sign working as one way of confirming unbelief in mankind..

Exodus 4 King James Version (KJV) And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee. And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.And the Lord said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was "leprous as snow".And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh. And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the "first sign", that they "will believe the "voice of the latter sign."

How do they obey the voice of second sign which seems to seal the deal other than he sends a strong delusion to show they have no sensitivity to the things not seen.? (no faith)

The gospel of Christ hid in Exodus 4.
