Granpa nothing is all good or all bad? Don't think God would agree with that. Where is the good in abortion, spousal abuse, drug addiction, murder?
Well couple of points to ponder......
Sin to a lost man is death and leads to hell unless they repent and trust into the saving faith of Christ
Sin to a saved man breaks fellowship with God until repentance and change
All are sinners as there is none good no not one......and if we say that we have no sin (present context)....deceived and no truth in us....

what good was there in the suffering of job or in death on the cross?
And your unrepentant sin you presently deal with?
(2Pe 2:21)
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
(2Pe 2:22)
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Colossians 1:16 - For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
I know it's hard to imagine that, but it's true.. These bad things happen with reason kaylagrl
Are you joking? The death on the cross was our salvation from sin and sickness and the curse of the fall. Jobs suffering was the devil testing Job.Job endured and praised God in the end.He learned to trust God when he lost all.
Job was tested very harshly, Gods on reasoning with a good servant, Jesus on the other hand was that we can die to self and live through Him. We die to the flesh, (sin) find Christ and let Him wash us spotless (sinless). We will always need Him to remain this way.what good was there in the suffering of job or in death on the cross?

God created the power that let it happen, He could never do such things, but everything happens to glorify Him. If we never sinned or bit off the fruit, abortion wouldn't even be in the vocab. The fall of man did this, we do this stuff to ourselves .. We let the devil win in are lives till we meet Jesus. Not sure...are you saying God created abortion and drug addiction? Clarifying here...
what sin do you struggle with, And do not say non, you would be decieving yourself.
Any why post those verses? One speaks of a person who came into the church claiming to be saved, but returned to their true self (a non believer) and one spoke of a person who came out of a religious works based system to join the church, but returned to their religion, because they is what they truly had faith in.
Niether had a thing to do with a child of God and sin..
My sins are forgiven in Christ so I have no sin, correct. (I did prior of course. Repentance and forgiveness removed my sins.)
Now I don't struggle with sin, NOW I struggle with TEMPTATION. Every day of course. But I don't struggle with sin, because the Jesus Christ I worship and who lives His Righteous Holy Life in me does not succumb to temptation, nor does He sin. He overcame sin in His body of flesh, and by dying with Him in baptism and having been raised up in New Life, He now overcomes the temptation to sin in this flesh body that He now inhabits. What is so difficult for folk to grasp about such basic pure Gospel message?
(1Jn 3:9)
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
(Rom 8:3)
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
(Rom 8:4)
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(Rom 8:5)
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
(Rom 8:6)
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(Rom 8:7)
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
(Rom 8:8)
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
(Rom 8:9)
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Oh I see, John lied.
1 John 1: 8 if we (he included himself at the moment he wrote those words) say we have no sin, we decieve ourselves, and there is no truth in us.
sorry maam, Your only trouble is not temptation. You sin every day, You just hide the sin, or ignore it, while judging everyone else. Your very demeaning posts to puff yourself up and tear everyone else down is sin,
Why do you not do as God commands, and stop trying to remove the speck from everyone else eye, and get that 1000 foot oak out your own eye!
This is the exact heart of any controversy around here, the legalistic self righteousness of those who believe they are sinless. Nobody is advocating sin, which they always imply, with their patronizing and judgmental remarks which seem to be accusing others of some easy believism I don't see anybody here advocating. And not of one of these accusers can tell you how they're more holy, what they're doing that impresses God, how they're a better Christian (more can be very hateful and mean when cornered, especially those of the cults). Self righteousness was the very damning disease the Pharisees suffered from.
I take it back at little, though, about being told how they're more holy. One person did once reply to me that you distance yourself from God, if you eat a pizza with pepperoni on it. So much for their New Testament Christianity.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Have sinned, past tense
John 8:11 - She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
sin no more...
James 5:20 - Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. ( already committed )
I do not break Gods commandments and am always in control of myself. If I ever do stumble, I will repent, do it no more, and face His consequence for it. Simple.. Yes I love even my enemies..so your sinless too? All things you do no matter what is for the benefit of others (even your enemies) 24/7 and you DO nothing for the benefit of yourself?
