So, what did Daniel speak of?
In 168BC, Antiochus IV, Epiphanes (Epidimes) reared up a statue of Jupiter Olympus and sacrificed swine on the altar at the Temple. This made the Temple desolate of God's presence because it was defiled.
Christ said the AoD would be THE sign...
Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Notice that they asked what would be THE sign?
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
When all the things listed before and up to verse 14 have occurred, then this one, enigmatic event will take place...

Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
It signals the beginning of the Great Tribulation. It actually occurs in two parts...
Luk 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
When one sees armies surround Jerusalem, the desolation is near. When one sees the AoD as described by Daniel, it is time to get out of Dodge.

1 Maccabees
1:11-14, "In those days went there out of Israel wicked men, who persuaded many, saying, Let us go and make a covenant with the heathen that are round about us: for since we departed from them we have had much sorrow. And the king sent letters by messengers to Jerusalem and the cities of Judah; he directed them to follow customs strange to the land, to forbid burnt offerings and sacrifices and drink offerings in the sanctuary, to profane sabbaths and feasts, to defile the sanctuary and the priests, to build altars and sacred precincts and shrines for idol sacrifice swine and unclean animals, and to leave their sons uncircumcised. They were to make themselves abominable by everything unclean and profane, so that they should forget the law and change all the ordinances.And whoever does not obey the command of the king shall die.”
1:62-64, "But many in Israel stood firm and were resolved in their hearts not to eat unclean food. They chose to die rather than to be defiled by food or to profane the holy covenant; and they did die. And very great wrath came upon Israel."
There is no man called "Antichrist" but rather antichrist is a spirit which works in many deceivers (so says the scriptures)
But if your talking about the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel, and confirmed by Jesus, then that event has already taken place.
Daniel 9:27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Jesus also spoke it. Mark 13:14-15[SUP]14 [/SUP]But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

This has already been fulfilled.
The book of Daniyl HAS NOT been completely fulfilled, parts yes, but not completely as this has NOT YET happened;
Daniyl 7:13-14, "I saw in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they were brought together before Him. And there was given Him ruling authority, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should obey Him; His government is an everlasting government, which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed."
Mattithyah 24:29-31, "Immediately, but after the tribulation of those days will the sun be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His malakim with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of earth to the other."
Revelation 19:13-15:, "And He was wrapped in a tallit dipped in blood, and the Name of Him is called: Yahshua--The Salvation of Yahweh. And the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him upon white horses, And out of His mouth goes a sharp, two-edged sword, that with it He should strike the nations; and He will rule over them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty Yahweh."
and the END TIME anti-Messiah has not YET been revealed;

And then that lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahshua will remove with the breath of His mouth, and make powerless with the appearance of His coming-- Whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, who works with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, Yahweh will send them strong delusion, that they would believe the deception, In order that all those may be judged as not having believed the truth, but as having delighted in sin."

Jesus pronounced it here in Matthew 23:38 "Behold, your house is left unto you desolate." The destruction of Jerusalem happened later in 70 ad.

It hasn't happened yet...there was an anti-type found in Daniel when Antiochus desecrated the temple, but the actual fulfillment will take place at the end of the age which seems to be just around the corner......!
I agree with this, I think the ALL fulfilled false doctrine was made (by the RCC) so they can have "the vicar of christ" "rule upon earth" and call it "the kingdom"...

What most people do not understand is that there are 2 tribulation periods.

You sure? That would mean the Great Tribulation has already occurred also. And interestingly enough, at the end of the Tribulation, the one year period know as the Day of the Lord begins culminating in the return of Christ. We musta slept through it huh?

No. There is general tribulation, which will occure to all people.
then there is great tribulation, which will begin at the abomination of desolation.
romans 2 speaks of general tribulation which we all go through.
The abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel and confirmed by Jesus most certainly did already happen, but the first tribulation was to the Jews as Jesus said "great wrath upon this people" Meaning the Jews, who were led and also scattered throughout the nations as written.

The first tribulation was to the Jews......until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in...(6th seal) then the Wrath of the Lamb begins, or Great Tribulation upon the whole world.

it did? when? the time of daniel has not even been completed yet, the abomination was su[posed to follow the destruction of jerusalem? so is their some part of history which you know about that was hidden to the rest of us?
Rom 2:9 is not the Great Tribulation and if the AoD already occurred, then why did Christ say that was the sign of His coming?
So you think both Daniel and Jesus are false prophets? LOL Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 ad. as both Daniel and Jesus said, look it up in the history books if you don't believe them. Good grief!
