What is the good news in Isaiah 40?

It is God’s people. “Comfort ye My people.” God’s people today who understand the truth of God’s Word are the chosen generation described in 1 Peter 2:9-10. We are the generation who are living in the time of the parable of the fig tree, the final generation.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40:1-3

I saw a reading from a messianic Jew he said the Jewish bible
speaks of Messiah coming that is of the peaceful type and also the type of ruling with Justice type to.

Have the Jews failed to spot that,

As far as I know they only see the coming as ruling with Justice as being valid or that all prophecies must be completed for the Messiah to be seen as the Messiah

It makes no sense to believe he could only come once.

With God all things are possible,

I try to put myself in the head of Jew but I just fail to see why they cant see the Messiah in spirit speaking through there prophets.

The thing I don't believe in personaly is a rapture.

Simply put the lord speaks to all differently.

Same as the 7 thunders John heard but was told not to write them down.

I believe John was told not to write them down, but may well have been told to prophesize against them, I wonder just that.

Did John prophesize the seven thunders.

Or is it simply each person God speaks to differently and what message they get given is a personal message

The good news is synonymous with the gospel. Is there any other gospel for us besides the fact that Jesus died on the cross and resurrected?
Why does Isaiah 40:9 command to proclaim the good news to Zion and Jerusalem, and then say, 'Behold your God'? and What cities do the cities of Judah refer to?
Why are they instructed to proclaim the good news, the gospel, to the cities of Judah?


God reveals Himself in a chosen generation.

The Most High is with us in THIS Generation to testify His Son and to demonstrate His righteousness.

I believe that the contents of the Old Testament prophecies are fulfilled in this generation, the one Jesus referred to, in which we currently live. I also believe that God teaches us the truth directly in this generation. It might seem like a kind of time reversal, but it is a fact.

Look at the Almighty! It's His concept of time, where anything is possible. Then, what is the evidence that our generation is the chosen one? The Bible mentions generations very frequently. From all the prophecies of the Old Testament to the words of Jesus in the New Testament, they all point to One chosen generation in which everything will be fulfilled.

I believe Isaiah 40 is separated into two comings of the lord.

One that comes to bring a sword. The time we are in now. And one that brings peace and judgment. The day of the lord.

Yes the Jewish religion is desolate they have not sanctuary they rejected Jesus who is the sanctuary

When Jesus is quoting from Moses law and then he says the opposite thing israel couldn’t hear it because they were trusting in Moses law and were blinded to Christ and the word of God they had no room for Jesus words

if they repent and convert to Christ they’ll be saved like everyone it’s thier testament that makes them “ Jews “ Judaism is not Gods way , Christianity is

Christianity is based upon the gospel given to all creation.

I’ve done some investigating. Here are my deductions and ponderings (selah says)

There is no record of what those seven thunders spoke, so we cannot know. The entire cycle of all the end-time events will be covered by the seven thunders. In other words, the angel is proclaiming the end of this age of earth: It is finished and over!

The lightning (Satan at the 6th trump) will come before the thunder (Jesus at the 7th trump). The thunders are sealed for this reason. You will have already experienced the lightening—it will be history by the time the thunder sounds. So we must not be deceived! There won’t be any pretrib rapture. Jesus tells us:

I’ve done some investigating. Here are my deductions and ponderings (selah says)

I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. just because John was told not to write the seven thunders down may also mean he prophesized against and with them.

So the quest would be to see where he may have spoke some silent thunders 😊

With this I would say bring the thunder 😋
