I will go first. Prior to giving my life to Jesus, i lost my virginity when i was 24 and even though i wasnt born again then I wasn’t impressed and i felt like i had made a big mistake. Fast forward to living life God’s way i now know how important sexual purity is and why God actually prohibits fornication. He knew how mentally, physically and emotionally wrecking it would be. My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. It’s never too late to do things right. As a Christian single who isn’t a virgin anymore i struggled with accepting what happened and forgiving myself and i wish i had known better or had someone to teach me at a younger age about sexual purity but even so i will use my experience to encourage young single christians to live a life of sexual purity. Honor God now that you are single so that when you get married you will be ready to honor your spouse as well and enjoy a blessed marriage. I pray that God empowers you as you wait for your partner to walk in obedience to His word, wait patiently on Him, exercise discernment and have the courage to flee when faced with temptation in Jesus name, Amen!

hmm I think most girls are vulnerable and start losing their virginity even from aged 12 its very hard to keep pure in the world these days esecially with prelavence of online porn (which is free) whereas in the olden days things like that were kept out of reach of children.

Often it is not your fault as girls can be coerced and forced (to save their own lives often..some boys rape and if they dont get what they want they will hurt you or violate you by other means)

so please dont feel like it was something you willingly gave up. It would have been taken from you when someone saw the opportunity. I think for most girls their first time is a horrible experience actually, its bloody and can be degrading especally when men dont know what they are doing.

When I was growing up while it was not taught explictly but you absolutely had to have street smarts about male predators and sexual temptations. Dont put yourself in a situation where you can be taken advantage of. If I were to talk to young girls about this..though 24 is really not that young by then you are are somewhat adult and can fend for yourself but that doesnt stop much older men trying to take advantage.

Dont give yourself away to anyone cos it really hurts if you do. Not just physically. God wants to protect us from harm, and He will help us...He will deliver us.

In terms of OP question I dont know if I regret doing it or it impacted my life now (because Jesus turned it around) but I would warn anyone getting into things like witchcraft or new age philosophies its a rabbit hole and can open doors to demons that God doesnt want opened. Again God wants to protect you from that, you dont need extra special powers because God has so much more power than anything demons have.

You dont need to look at your horoscope or anything just trust Him for your future and He will bless you, not curse you.

Sometimes he tries to imagine
What it would have been like
To be pure at heart
To be innocent
On his wedding night
Looking back, he had no idea
All that he gave away
In that awkward moment
On that summer day

Oh maybe this will be the generation
That will set their minds
On the things above
If they set their minds
On these heavenly things
Then they've got a chance

To put the love back into love
Put the love back into love

As to the question in the thread title:

No, not really. I've had a life most would consider boring. I think of it as comfortable.

I'm real big on learning from other people's mistakes. Always have been. They're gonna make them, so I might as well learn the lessons without making ALL of them myself. Saves myself a lot of grief, not to mention money and wear and tear.

You are surely wise. Learning from the mistakes of others and avoiding making them yourself is true wisdom at work. Bravo!

I too almost went down that route all in the name of looking for the true meaning of life and my curiosity played a great role in this regard but i thank God i never went too far. But i agree with you the new age philosophy isn’t Godly and its sad that it has creeped into the church today and most Christians are blinded to it. I pray that eyes are open to the truth.

I think I'm more lazy than wise. Or maybe I'm the first one to crowdsource my research. :p

But there are a lot of things you don't even need the Bible to warn you against. All you gotta do is look at people who are doing this thing, then look at other people who did the same thing 20 years ago and see how their lives turned out.

If people who sleep around a lot ALWAYS wind up complaining about a lot of drama and lives that suck, like 100% of the time, that's either a good indication I should avoid that mistake or the mother of all sample biases.

I'm breaking the rules. its 2 for me: fornicating & being raised a catholic.

I think God has a lot of mercy on people because we humans are sinners and will ineveitably sin and do the wrong thing when we are young, sometimes not even knowing these things are wrong because its so accepted by the world.. Growing up heathen or pagan or whatver, we dont have boundaries, and were never trained to observe any rules, for many, there were really no rules or guidance.

A lot of hippie parents actually encourged their children to fornicate, and if they ran off with someone they were relieved it was one less mouth to feed.

I remember one mum complaining that one of her daughters was too innocent and needed to be more worldly! lol

Her marriage fell apart when her husband had an affair. She found out that he was seeing someone on his surfing holidays away.
