The term "social distancing" appears to have been coined in 2006 in a NYT article regarding the avian flu pandemic. It is a politically correct term used to describe people who are standing at least six feet apart or people who are in quarantine.

The word social refers to how social organisms interact in society. In other words, this is about how people live in their community. Socializing is conceptual rather than material and is about morals, identity, behaviors, attitudes, values, culture, etc.

What social distancing aims to do is physically separate individuals, not socially separate them. So since words have meaning then what is the end goal of misnaming something as social distancing when the objective is to limit the spread of highly contagious viruses via physical distancing?

Could this have something to do with neurolinguistic reprogramming? Has there ever been a time that those who are sick were truly socially distanced by totally ostracizing them from society? If yes, then perhaps the term social distancing is a foreshadowing of sorts.

Im supposing nobody could come up with a better term.
Physical distancing isnt specifically about people cos nobody can just be invisible and not touch anything thing (objects etc)

hence 'social' distancing.

If you can think of a better term than share it. Maybe other langauges call it something else. English can be so wishy washy at times!

Children can kind of relate to this concept because theyd be like 'what is social distancing?' And is 'distancing' even a word. lol

You could say, its like dancing , except when you dont touch anyone and its all by yourself.

Always trying to change the meanings of things.

Gay used to have a joyful meaning...now its used for describing a sin God calls an abomination. Then to add insult to injury, they take God‘s promise to not flood the world again and use the colors and call it pride in doing something that God calls an abomination.
Playing with genders and talking about how their are more than two....all this to encourage sin and shake their fists at God.

As to why they mislabel it social distancing...they also said that it was to save lives as well. Some people believe that but if it worked so well..we wouldn’t need to also wear masks. Trying to change society seems to be the goal of changing the meaning of things..and to change society for the worst.

It is all part of their agenda , and many people are falling for it...
Makes me wonder how many are going to fall for the mark , seriously , this pandemic thing , social distancing , and masks is like a test to see how obedient the public react , and many are conforming to this world instead of being transformed by the renewing off the mind...

The mark is also an act of worship. When the mark comes upon the world then we will already have the antichrist and a lot of people will be in awe of him...probably won’t be too hard for them to take the mark...to go along with wanting to be able to buy and sell for those maybe who wouldn’t take the mark but want to eat etc.

I really just look at all this as the natural progression towards the times described in the end more than anything else.

A more appropriate term would be 'socialism distancing'.

It seems as though the invention of all “Social Media“ was the true start of “Social Distancing”?

How can an individual be popular, have a million friends, chat all day, be in contact with all their loved ones and in some cases — gain a massive amount of “followers” .......

...and yet?
be completely alone all day and never once leaving their living room?

Those who are addicted to social media seem to be some of the most distant people I’ve ever met. 😢

Great observation. I didn't think of that even though it should have probably been the most obvious.

As soon as covid-19 became publicized, one of the first things that happened was architecture being built to enable people to work from home. Now it's common to work from home.

As you pointed out, the digitization of society was already in place; people just needed a little push to take it to the next level: covid-19.

Now there is a single point of failure: the internet. What if the Internet goes down for a year or so? How many of those new WFH jobs will evaporate before our eyes? All of them. That would make another large unemployment crisis.

yep take away the internet and electricity and that will cause mayhem

then people can do REAL work from home i.e cooking and cleaning and washing their hands, laundry, gardening, babysitting, caregiving etc.

those so called WFH online jobs are rubbish. What, you get paid to push buttons on a computer?! The world is falling apart and you are staring at a screen?

That term should simply be banned. People have been avoiding proximity to those with infections for ages. That is just common sense. But mandating *social distancing* is manipulation by tyrannical governments. Their motto is "The rule is for thee, but not for me".

Can you name anything bigger and more impactful than the internet?
Good, bad, all of the above. Lives ruined. Lives saved. Lives changed?

Anything compare to it in the past 25 years?
What % use it daily across the entire globe?
Overnight fame? Overnight success stories?
Money made, money lost. Digital Money.
Turning Millionaires into Billionaires nowadays.

People finding love. People losing love.
People losing their identity. People creating their identity.

Makes you wonder.
What does God think about all of this? 🤔

I wonder how many cases like this one exist.

Social distancing to the extreme. My granddaughter is engaged to a man she has never had physical contact with. They have been dating? online. They met while playing an online video game. Both families are part of a video gaming group. Makes no sense to me.

I asked her if they were going to get married online and live in cyber space. She just giggled.

I failed to mention that she's in Florida and He's in California.

The conduit of the Holy Spirit is the laying on of hands. Human touch communicates God's Spirit and Satan hates it.
