We studied A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth. Although I loved English as a subject, I detested Shakespeare with the intensity of a thousand suns. Shakespeare was hell on earth for someone with dyslexia, like me. Mild as it was.

What are shop classes?
"Shop Class" does sound funny, huh? I never thought of that before. Here, in America, Shop Class, is where you learn how to work with wood. Here's something that I made in the 8th grade in Shop Class.

wow, did you guys make things like that in school?
We called those classes "Sløyd". The most fancy thing I made was a bird feeder with partial walls
which reminds me, what do you call lafteverk in English?(The the technique normally used in log cabins where you make a notch in the wood and sort of fit it together)

I think they stopped making log cabins in America sometime during the 1800's, except maybe the Amish.
