Gotta say it's rather amusing (but also annoying) that people who know the least about science are always the ones trying to say it supports their scientifically bankrupt claims (that they just repeat like parrots from the TV or wherever else they picked it up - school friends or some opinionated old guy trying to sell his boring book).
You've got history (the bible) and real science on your side, but the ignorant accuse you of being dense?
Maybe it's just because I don't believe in the lizard people. Lizards are lizards, and people are just people.

Scientists keep getting their years wrong. I would say they walked the earth 225 years ago, not 225 million years ago.

Also my theory is that in the past, certain creatures could grew to amazing sizes because weather conditions were right and food was much more abundant in the olden days. Hence giant lizards and squids.

Tuataras are such unique and beautiful lizards. When I was young I wanted to buy one. When I read up on the special care required and availability, I realized that was not a going to happen. Perhaps the Lord will give me some dinosaurs in the millennium. A nature preserve like Jurassic Park would be a blessing. Maybe not just like Jurassic Park. They won't have the bitey instinct then.

The Land of the Lost reruns we'rone of the Rankin Bass Saturday morning shows I looked forward to. Unfortunately, they misled us kids, like everything else, into the view of evolution. These were more like the Time Machine Morlocks.
When I found the video of the librarian touring the school basement with the hat comment I had to laugh. The guy had a sense of humor.
Well so far nobody has come up with the theory that they are invisible and only visible to those who wish to see them. Like Mr snufflupagas.
Maybe there are moas hiding in the remote parts of New Zealand that we don't know about, though I don't know how any bird that big could disguise itself and fly away when it's cornered, they would have been super easy targets for the hungry Maori.
As for the dinosaurs, nowadays instead of eating us, we can eat them.
Henry and his family are exempt because tuatara are a protected species in New Zealand. We also protect kiwi, and bats and snails. If you come across a dead one, you have to notify the authorities. We have DOC which is the Department of Conservation. Not sure if other countries have them, but NZ dedicates itself to conserving native species after so many were hunted to extinction by humans in the past.

My take.... Before the flood, I believe there was a firmament over the atmosphere. People lived to nearly 1000 years. The earth was a much different (healthier) place. Reptiles don't stop growing and I imagine they were quite large before the flood. They aren't referred to as dinosaurs in scripture.

The Bible is not a history book. Mocking others is easy. It does not take much thought if a person is so inclined and it is the last defence of those who do not or cannot give evidence of what they present.

Some of it is exactly that.
The Bible, unlike other books, is not completely fiction. But it's up to you to believe or disbelieve what is written in it. Just as we can believe or disbelieve theories. There is certainly evidence of a great flood that killed a lot of large creatures and buried them. That's how we have fossils of them.
Did you know that unfossilized soft tissues have been found too? Apparently, this relatively proves recent deaths too.
